Bill, I haven't tried it but I've heard same complaints from others too. Ever since the new owners took over things have not run smoothly for a few years.

Try RST. They’re open but with reduced capacity. They’re out of stock on some shells. In times like this I remind my wife why I’m an ammo hoarder.

My father ordered some shells from Polywad around Christmas. They never arrived and couldn’t get a returned call. Eventually they refunded the money.

Just looking to buy inserts to load my own spreaders.

For what gauge Spred-R inserts are you looking for, Bill?

Bill, I can't help you with the 20s, but I've got a bag of 12ga. solid inserts that I can spare. They'll be on their way up to you in Monday's mail.

Bill I have reloaded and shot a fair amount of the spreader loads the last few years. Polywad gave me a hint a long time ago that made the reloading process much easier. That was simply to use the 16 gauge spreader inserts in the 12 gauge loads. The spreader inserts for a 12 gauge are similar to the size of the hull opening and rather tricky to get seated properly on top of the shot charge. The 16 however slips right in with a lot more ease and has had no effect on the loads I have patterned. If you make yourself one of these handy dandy tools you will assure yourself that your insert is seated the exact same depth every time and that it is set perfectly level. Just start the insert by hand down to the end of the hull and use the tool to seat it. It will speed the process up as well. Good luck.

Me too!

I'll second the Ballistic Products spreader inserts. The X-Stream inserts will work for 10 through 20g but to use them with the 20g you must use the brush wad. I just loaded up 60 spreaders for the 10g with the X-Stream inserts. Easy to do and doesn't add much time at all.
