Well I am not sure how that show will affect the ratings! :rotf:

Randy G Roberts 02-21-2020 10:18 AM

How cool Edgar. I will have to figure out how I can access this show.

Mills Morrison 02-21-2020 10:40 AM

Very cool!

edgarspencer 02-21-2020 10:41 AM

Randy, It's on Cox Sports in the south, but on YouTube every week.

Reggie, Martha is the only reason the ratings stay up. George and I were hoping to get some marriage proposals out of it, until we started looking at the women who were responding. "Nice Tooth" came to mind.

Edgar I enjoyed the video also. It reminded me of something a few weeks ago. I went over to Garland Mountain to shoot a little wobble trap. The five stand is nearby and there was an old man and a old woman hobbling over to the five stand so I stopped and watched them. They looked so feeble as they got ready. As he began to shoot I was surprised how well he shot. As I went on my way it dawned on me that they were most likely younger than me. That made me chuckle. Just thankful we can still pull the trigger hit or miss. Gerald.

I'm still on the fence about whether Edgar is the lucky dad or Martha is the lucky daughter...

Now, sipping espresso and waiting rather impatiently for the hotel waiter to bring him his chocolate cake, he seems to have made peace with his addictions: " My wife is a depraved spender and I' m a degenerate gambler," he say unapologetically. " For Grumpy Old Men, I'm gonna make $3 million." Walter Matthau 1/28/94 ew.com article

Was George your agent?

George often reminds me how fortunate I am to know him. Whenever we get together, I feel better about myself.

What a GREAT video Edgar! Thanks for sharing it with us.

Ken Hill 02-21-2020 03:12 PM

A really neat video. Can you post when the whole video is available?

Ken

I went to youtube and watched the 7 min. SD segment and am left wondering if any male would present such an honest rendering of what transpired as Martha did. Scott I have only shot with him once and wonder if fame will change him. I don't think it will, but time will tell.

Edgar in the photo where you are somewhat of a younger gentleman you have a knife on your belt. I know with your great ability to recall various details and such, do you happen to know the make and model of that knife?

If I was hunting, it was likely an old Randall, or my favorite Schrade. If some other setting, I have no idea.

Dean Romig 02-21-2020 07:36 PM

Could it have been a Buck folding knife?

.

Reggie Bishop 02-21-2020 07:41 PM

My thoughts exactly Dean. It appears to be a folder in a belt sheath with a snap flap.

Chuck Bishop 02-21-2020 08:27 PM

Great video. Good to see you, George, and Martha out shooting. BTW, what ever happened to George?

I do have a Buck folding hunter. I can’t remember the last time I wore. Reggie, where did you see this picture?

Reggie Bishop 02-22-2020 06:23 AM

Edgar it was in the "teaser" near the beginning. It looked like a pic of you and Martha when she was a child.

Harold Lee Pickens 02-22-2020 08:46 AM

Good thing I got Edgars autograph before this, now he may start charging for it. Also have one of his guns and hand made cases, maybe should consider them as part of my retirement portfolio.

Only if you consider Bob Evans to be Fine Dining.

Reggie, That's a Leatherman. My son appropriated it. He did leave me the case.

Russell E. Cleary 02-23-2020 07:02 AM

Martha says at the end of the “teaser”, "It’s kind of cool to put yourself back in time and see the history through the things he grew up with”.

I have similar sentiments about my father and his things, without which I probably never would have known about the PGCA, let alone followed a path to it.

It’s patrimony that is measureless. Edgar is fortunate that Martha expresses it so well and does so publicly.

chris dawe 02-23-2020 07:12 AM

Well done !

Bayou Wild TV

The full length episode of Bayou Wild is available on YouTube.
I'd suggest watching it after dinner, because they sure know how to eat down there.
The portion devoted to The Salty Chicks is great. I can't even think and walk at the same time. These Gal's cast, net and paddle like they're sittin havin coffee.

Hopefully she will get a good husband out of this and not the type who wears tight Levi's and is Vegan

Ken Hill 02-28-2020 11:38 AM

Nice show!

Ken

Dean Romig 02-28-2020 01:18 PM

Thanks very much Edgar and Martha.... and of course George.

And shell-box collectors should note that in the opening frame of the "teaser" Edgar is taking his ammo out of a box marked (in classy Anglo-American lettering) SPENCER / HAND LOADED.
