I'll never get that gun back

You thought you would?

Dean Romig 02-21-2020 09:56 AM

Hasn't she stolen three or four of your Parkers?

It's okay though Edgar - with her notoriety and TV exposure she certainly gives Parker shotguns a good name.... kinda like Barbara Fausti does for their shotguns.

Great pic in so many ways!!!!!!

Randy G Roberts 02-21-2020 10:14 AM

Nice pic. With the sling I am guessing it's a Remington era gun, possibly transition :)

Its a Meriden gun in the 221,xxx range if memory serves. Came out of low country SC. John Frierson's old gun. I never saw such killer wood before that gun.

Randy G Roberts 02-21-2020 11:01 AM

Yeah, that wood caught my eye as well. Very nice indeed.

Yep, say "good bye"

Mills Morrison 02-21-2020 01:36 PM

At least you already had it and didn't have to come up with more money. My sister hit my Dad up for things he did not already have and which were expensive.

Nor should you as she looks just fabulous. You can always keep that photo in your wallet when we all show our guns off at Ernie's.

After watching the videos I believe you should be fiercely proud of that young woman! Her honesty about the nuances of wing shooting is refreshing. A very impressive young person, indeed. All this to agree, you're never getting that gun back!

Dennis E. Jones 02-22-2020 09:23 AM

Funny how a young woman can talk an old man out of something she wants. My oldest daughter wanted a Parker, I gave her two. I can't think of a better place for them to be. Giving can be as fulfilling as getting.

edgarspencer 02-22-2020 01:42 PM

The first thing Martha said when I gave her the 28ga. Repro was “Ooo that’s pretty.”

edgarspencer 02-23-2020 09:59 AM

That picture was from part of episode 76 of Bayou Wild TV, on YouTube. There's a lot of Martha to satisfy a dad who doesn't get to see her too often.

Edgar, thank you for instilling the hunting and shooting sports in your daughter! We need all the young people we can to embrace this tradition! She is a lovely young lady and I know you are proud of her.... as I’m sure she shares that same
feeling for you, too. Let us all view this as a message to help more young people
to follow our hunting and shooting hobbies and love for the great outdoors!
