Thanks Randy.....same oid story....gun not cut...but in this case 30 to 26"
|
Yep, with 26 inches the burden is on the seller to prove to me it is not cut
|
shame, it is a 1 frame top lever hammer...if original 26" it would have gotten some play!
|
i remember a time when a 26 inch barrel was the thing to have for bird hunting...quail that is...charlie
|
26 inches is still a good length for quail hunting. 26 and 28

One I was looking at , the barrels looked off so I pm'd one of the members here the serial number. It was missing 4" off the barrels which wasnt mentioned in the description the seller had . |
I bought my first 20 ga Parker way back and i learned later it had been cut from 30 to 26 inches and was a beautiful DHE. Bobby

I have a 32-18, a 30-26, and a 28-24, all part of my collection, but the price was right. The 30-26 was represented by HC as an original skeet gun and he refused to refund when confronted. The gun was made before the introduction of "skeet". The correspondence between the buyer and HC was quite interesting.

There are a great number of owners of fine and high grade Parkers who are not PGCA members - some never have been while others joined, got what they needed and let their membership lapse while others, due to conditions beyond their control, didn’t remember to renew their memberships. I find being a Life Member is a huge benefit... and I don’t have to remember to renew. . |

I think collecting Parkers is a investment or anything well known sxs maker and the membership here is a part of that . Besides the knowledge of alot of other double guns is abundant here as well . |
I LOOK for 26" guns for quail and ducks over decoys but am always wary. To find that a purchase was one that had had the barrels cut would be a big disappointment. I recently "chased down" an 0 frame 16 VH with 26" barrels, I/C x Mod and plan the last licks of quail season with it in hand.
