Here is the registration form for the Northern. July will be here before we know it! Trophies for every event and trappers too.

Harold Lee Pickens 04-16-2020 04:18 PM

Time to bring this to the top again.

Dean Romig 04-16-2020 06:31 PM

Rock Mountain is not hard to get to - only 20 miles from Ernie Hausmann's.

.

Mike Koneski 04-16-2020 07:13 PM

Actually about 15 miles southeast of Ernie’s but who’s counting!!

Dean Romig 04-16-2020 08:02 PM

Yeah, I got a bit lost the first timevI went there from Ernie’s so it really was 20....

We added another vendor this week after the ad deadline, please see our website for an updated list.

Craig Larter 05-15-2020 06:42 PM

Mike a couple of questions. My buddies from NY would like to camp out in your lot, we would have two campers/motorhomes. Any reservations needed? Also can the 8 gauge and 410 events be shot on any of the four days??

Mike Koneski 05-16-2020 09:14 AM

Craig, they need to reserve an RV spot. $10 night to cover electric. The .410 and 8 bore can be shot Thursday through Saturday.

CraigThompson 05-17-2020 01:16 PM

Is RST going to be on hand ? And hopefully have 8 gauge loads ?

Mike Koneski 05-17-2020 05:06 PM

RST usually takes shell orders and will deliver shells to The Rock. Orders and payment are all done with RST. As for them having 8 bore shells available, you have to ask Morris. 😀

When I talked to Tom Armbrust last month he told me they had loaded them in the past sparingly . And since you’re having an 8 gauge event I just assumed .

How strenuous is your course to walk ? Specifically the course for the 8 gauge , the long shots 10 gauge course and the regular 10 gauge course .

Mike Koneski 06-05-2020 11:20 AM

Craig, the 8 gauge will be shot on the 5-Stand. The other 10g events are on the back half of the main course and that's an easy walk. The entire course is an easy walk.

Austin J Hawthorne Jr. 06-09-2020 11:05 AM

Do you have to fill out the registration form and pay in advance or can this be done on site for the days you plan to be there?

Mike Koneski 06-09-2020 01:25 PM

You can do either way. If you fill a registration out beforehand that’ll at least have you in the program and you can add events later. Thanks.

Dean, looks like someone stepped up and will be setting up a display. :) He could use help if anyone else is interested.

Dean Romig 07-10-2020 11:56 AM

Do we know where the four PGCA tablecloths and the overhead banner are that were used at our tables at Hausmann’s last year, are now?

.

I have 2 of the tablecloths. As of right now I am leaning towards delivering them personally, however if I am unable to do so I will get them there via courier. As far as the banner goes I am not certain but I believe that is being looked into.

Chuck Bishop 07-10-2020 01:16 PM

There will be 3 table cloths plus a banner at Mike's. Mike will keep them for use at the Vintage Cup.

Perfect! Thanks Chuck.

Randy, I believe the ones that Chuck alluded to are the ones that were used at Hausmann's last year. (Do we know if they have been cleaned?)
Someone may correct me but I believe we should only need the three... unless we'll have more than three tables.

We got it figured out now Dean, thanks !

Mike Koneski 07-10-2020 03:49 PM

If you call the Hampton Inn in Tunkhannock for lodging, be sure to ask for the corporate rate for Rock Mountain. That will be a substantial price difference from their standard rate.

Mike Koneski 07-10-2020 03:55 PM

"An update from Spin Wheel Fashions: The selection of hats, shirts and sweatshirts will be somewhat limited due to the cancellation of many of our events this year. There will be a variety of LC Smith and Parker shirts and hats and some Fox and Lefever hats. Cathy has accepted my offer to bring her inventory to Rock Mountain so I will be on a cash only basis. I plan to be there late Thursday morning thru Saturday afternoon. You will be able to place orders that can be picked up at Cathy's house, the turkey shoot at Warrington in November or mailed to your home with a $10.00 fee for postage and handling. Thanks, Tom Garver"

Brian Dudley 07-11-2020 06:26 PM

Just saw the post about RST.
Do you know that someone will be there for sure to deliver on pre-orders?

Mike Koneski 07-11-2020 09:05 PM

Brian, RST will deliver shells here in time for the shoot. Just contact Chris and give her your order, they’ll bring them here.

Randy G Roberts 07-11-2020 09:12 PM

I did not see the post that Brian mentioned about RST. Are they not going to be set up as usual selling their shells or is this pre-order only?

Mike Koneski 07-11-2020 11:39 PM

Pre-order.

Randy G Roberts 07-21-2020 09:25 AM

RST Update

As of this morning Chris at RST has advised that they are "insanely busy" and as a result she is requesting that orders for delivery to Rock Mtn. be placed by email to info@rstshells.com . You can call them in but I would say your odds of connecting are much higher with an email. She also requested that we not wait until the last minute.

They told me today they were not sure if they were even attending. Who knows...

Chris said they are not attending/setting up. Due to the lack of orders for delivery at the shoot it appears this may be in jeopardy as well unless things pick up. If you are one of the folks that left a voice mail (they had a back log of 60 when we spoke) requesting a call back from RST I would urge you to send them an email. Trust me on this one, your odds of success will go way up with an email as was explained to me.

Brian Dudley 07-22-2020 11:18 AM

Yeah, I emailed them telling them what I wanted to pick up at the shoot and they told me they would add me to their "backlog" and they were not sure if they were attending.

Randy G Roberts 07-22-2020 02:59 PM

RST-The Latest

Chris from RST just called to let me know they have enough orders now and they will be delivering. Not setting up, delivering. Final answer, I hope. :corn:

Harold Lee Pickens 07-27-2020 07:11 AM

well, I guess it's a go. Will get to the Rock around 1:00 Thurs. Hope to meet many of you there.

Frank Srebro 07-27-2020 07:41 AM

I was at the Rock yesterday with my shooting gang and the club was very busy, much more so than other Sundays over the past two months. I saw and talked with several shooters who were working out with SxS's and vintage pump guns in anticipation of the Northern event this coming weekend, and that included a few I know and would classify as regular o/u and semi shooters. I also saw many more RST hulls than usual in the spent hull containers, from folks who shot earlier last week. Just sayin ……
