Glue for trade labels
A friend asked.
Huey uses a spray on glue. Can’t remember which manufacturer.
3m or elmers spray adhesive in a can is what I have used and works well.
I use 3M spray on.
Bingo: Huey uses 3M.
Ditto here - 3M
English used hide glue. Google it and learn.

Label glue
I use Dap brand Weldwood Contact Cement works great. No problems so far.
Whatever you use, I would recommend checking to be sure the glue is considered archival, or at least PH neutral, to avoid staining and other nasty results down the road. I worked in an art conservation lab and we spent a great deal of our time trying to repair and reverse the affects of acidic glues.

Kade Gile who does all the restoration work on vintage cases for Huey's Gun Cases uses Titebond Hide glue for all case labels. You can use water for clean up with no staining to the fabric or light steam to remove the label if needed.
