Parker Pages
I understand that the latest Parker Pages is out and in circulation. I have not received mine here in North Carolina and was wondering if anyone else is in this situation.
|
Hi Neill,
You might want to contact the Memberships folks and find out when your PGCA Membership expires? My best to you! John |
Neill, I received mine Monday so I am sure yours is on the way.
|
I am looking at my membership card. Dues paid.
|
Neil- no hard feelings. I'm in NC and dont have mine either....I am a life member and on the BOD. I guess our USPS just wants us to sweat it out waiting for our favorite piece of mail!
|
Mr. Mcinnis,
Carl Brandt and myself just had the same conversation. We do everytime the Parker Pages gets sent out. It seems those of us in Richmond, Va and maybe your self down in Carolina tend to get ours at least a week or two after many others get theirs. Its got to be the way the mail system works for those of us in our region. Happy Thanksgiving. |
Neill,
If you don't get your PP and you are all paid up - send me a private message and I'll get you square, OK?? Sounds like N.C. and N.H. share the same pony express rider.... ;) That being said - I'm convinced my postman reads PP, and only when he's done - does he deliver it..??? Best to you! John |
Neill,
Please check your private messages. |
Atlanta early last week
|
I have noticed over the last several issues that I receive my PP about 10 days to 2 weeks later than the first comments are made. I thought it was probably a Western North Carolina thing, but sounds like it may be a North Carolina thing.

Parker Pages Delivery
The membership and mailing list was updated 4 November, and Parker Pages was delivered to the Traverse City MI PO on 16 or 17 November. There does not seem to be any delay in leaving Traverse City, as Charlie Herzog recieved his on 18 Nov and I recieved mine on 19 Nov.
When we went to the quarterly issue several years ago, our close for the winter issue was 15 November, and we used Christmas covers from 1800 sporting publications. Very few people recieved PP by Christmas, and we went to 1 November; about half recieved them by Christmas. We went to 15 October at the suggestion of the printer, and winter Parker Pages was delivered to almost everyone before 1 Dec, and usually before Thanksgiving. The Christmas advertising season appears to have begun a week early this year. Happy Thanksgiving Austin |
Hi Mike you know that the PP is going to be a little late up there in yhem hills and hollars same here in V.A. good to here from you, happy Thanks giving to you and your family and to all PGCA members and family

Hey Gary,
I just tried to tactfully say I was way back in the hills (a hillbilly) and the mail had to be carried in on foot, 35 miles uphill. I've gotten used to the delay, and at least by the time my issue comes I can have an idea what I want to look for first as I think we all know that each issue is a treat. Happy Thanksgiving! to you as well and all of this group, enjoy the day, family, hunting and the good food. Mike |
