Which barrels is original, which one redone by Breck Gorman
3 Attachment(s)
I have a real nice CH 10ga that had it's barrels redone in brown many years ago, I had Breck Gorman redo them Black and white. One of the two is a high condition original and one is the redone set, right or left??? Can you guess which set was redone?? Breck's work is amazing in my opinion.

if i was forced to guess
the ones on the right in the bottom picture are redone but- its a guess and his work is excellent. |
Right side. But they are both very nice!
I will wait to reveal the answer after a few more guesses.
Left are original.
Left. But his work is so good without barrels in hand it's a guess.
Left is my first guess. Right is my second guess.
Left are the redone barrels :).

If I buy an otherwise nice original Parker or Fox that has barrels improperly redone or has a very bad area of severe scratching from a fall or worst of all an area of bad pitting I will get them properly refinished. Kinda like if I had a vintage car with rust through a fender I would have it restored. We are fortunate to have such talented craftsmen.

as i said - his work is excellent

Wow! I was about to guess right as the redone barrels
Very nice. I did not opine but if I would have it's entirely possible that I could have been wrong, hint.
Very nice ! Breck redid a set of DH 10 gauge barrels for me back in June/July and relaid the rib on my 4 frame 10 gauge twist barrels . I was quite pleased with both he did for me
I would guess, but I have an advantage. ;-)
Beautiful work
Not a fair question ! Answer you are very blessed to have both.
