They truly are wonderful Parkers - the pinnacle of expression of 'form following function'.

Hey wait a minute - those can't be Parkers... there's no recessed hinge-pin...
. |
Dean do you know if the one owned by the Lyman family is shown in your photos and if so which one?
It may have been the 16 gauge (with the lighter wood?) but I don't know for certain.
There are others here who would know and hopefully will come on and tell us. . |
Thank you, I believe it was a 16.
233565 Lyman gun?
Thanks Jimmy.

No doubt they are works of art but a little too gaudy for me. Especially the stock carving. Give me an A-1 Special!
The lack of the recessed hinge pin is easily compensated by the side clips.

The wood and checkering is unreal, as is the metal work. Wow!
My research tells me that the Lyman gun and the Cliff Green 4 gauge set BHE were utilized at the same Remington Great Eastern NSSA shoot in the late thirties. I don't know whether the two owners knew each other.
I had the great good fortune to shoulder all three Invincibles at the Vegas show about 10 years ago. Priceless!
