Ribs & Beer

For PGCA Members, Ribs and beer, or BYO. There will be trash receptacles for those not wanting to incur Dean's wrath.
Same place as before; far corner of the field, our campground, of sorts.
Larry, please collect your cork screw.

Dean Romig 05-28-2019 08:42 PM

I'll toss in a twenty$bill or two - Thanks Edgar!

(that includes you and a helper to drag me over to my camper after the festivities.)

Eric Eis 05-29-2019 06:36 AM

Sorry I'm going to miss the festivities, hope you guys have great weather as I know you'll have a great time.

Dean Romig 05-29-2019 07:46 AM

You’ll be missed Eric.

Harold Lee Pickens 05-29-2019 08:11 AM

I'll bring some smoked grouse, pheasant, sausage, cheese and crackers, and bourbon.
And extra chairs.

Thanks Dean, not necessary, unless I see something in the tents I can't live without.

Then you'll need a whole lot more then twenty bucks

Brett Hoop 05-29-2019 03:13 PM

I'll bring some beer same as last year. From a casual pole of last years participants in this high brow event of the season, there appears to be a preference for no canoe beer and unopened!

Chuck Bishop 05-29-2019 03:21 PM

Looking forward to seeing everyone. Edgar and Allan, save a space for my chair:bigbye:

Harold Lee Pickens 05-29-2019 04:44 PM

Hey Brett, what the heck is Canoe Beer

Dean Romig 05-29-2019 04:51 PM

I think that's the cheap stuff that's been rolling around in the bottom of the canoe since ice-out.

Hmm...Harold, and Dean probably best that I ask you to do a Google search for Canoe Beer. I'd add the Monty Python definition is most widely accepted.

Dean Romig 05-29-2019 07:24 PM

I Googled it.... I think my guess was close. It's a beer that is mass-produced and about (maybe) one level up from water, provided the beer isn't skunked.

edgarspencer 05-29-2019 08:30 PM

You guys sure can slaughter a good joke.

Harold Lee Pickens 05-29-2019 08:50 PM

Brett sent me the Monty Python definition.
I understand now.

john pulis 05-30-2019 07:16 AM

can two of the LI boyz join you?

Dean Romig 05-30-2019 07:24 AM

Can’t think of a reason why not...

Of course you’re welcome to join us!

Careful Dean, That might be a trick question. Kinda like ' A New York Minute', that sort of thing.

Bill Murphy 05-30-2019 09:43 AM

Edgar, what night or nights are these festivities?

edgarspencer 05-30-2019 10:49 AM

Friday, Bill. After shooting ceases. I think we started around 5-5:30 past couple of years.

Bill Murphy 05-30-2019 08:12 PM

Thanks. I'll bring some girls from Binghamton. They're very light eaters.

Depending on ground conditions, keep in mind that field may not be handicap accessible.

It’s a proven fact that laughing is good for our health. I don’t mind being laughed at, but prefer ‘with’, and I’m cheaper than going to the doctor.

Pulled my trailer with shooting cart into the parking field earlier today. Most of the field is pretty dry but you'll want to avoid the low spots. Vendors were getting set up and some camping rigs already in the field. Let the games begin ….

Rick Roemer 06-05-2019 08:54 PM

Hi. What time do events/vendors get underway Thursday morning? I’m staying in Vestal thx

Frank Srebro 06-05-2019 09:28 PM

Early birds are walking around by 8:30 but many of the vendors don't have their dew coverings off until a little later. Shooting starts in the same timeframe. Sign up for events is in the clubhouse to the right of the tent as you approach it.
