Chuck Bishop & Research Letters

I don't want to alarm anyone - Chuck asked me to post this for him because he can't access any "Gun" sites from his hospital bed due to their tight security measures over Internet access.

Chuck suffered a bit of an episode several days ago and he fell and broke a bone in his hand. He's fine otherwise but he has been under observation all week. He expects to be back home in a day or two and back at his desk typing one-handed research letters.

I want to be the first to say "Get well quickly Friend!" and to remind him that he isn't being paid the BIG bucks for laying around in a hospital bed taking it easy! :rotf::bowdown:-

Thanks for the get well wishes everyone. I'm back home. I couldn't post due to hospital wifi restrictions onanything related to guns:cuss: I'll be back at the computer on Monday but pecking away 1 handed:banghead:

In a nutshell, I passed out on Monday in the garage andbroke a knuckle on my left hand, severe bruse on my rt knee, and a brused chest. Dr. thinks the slow heart beat was caused by a specific med I was taking for a-fib. Off that medication now. Keeping my fingers crossed. Next thing would be a pacemaker.

dan myshin 05-10-2019 09:35 PM

We missed you at Wildcat. Get well soon!

Marty Kohler 05-10-2019 10:28 PM

Randy G Roberts 05-10-2019 10:40 PM

Good news that you are home, that oughta make you feel a little better. Take care !!

Michael Moffa 05-11-2019 08:20 PM

Get a bike helmet and body armor for garage work till they figure out what exactly is going on. Take care and be well.

Chuck Bishop 05-11-2019 10:26 PM

Made me smile Mike:rotf: It just makes me mad that this happens now in prime shooting season. Don't know how long it takes for a broken knuckel to heal.

Dean Romig 05-11-2019 10:56 PM

It’s a good alibi for missing. Learn to love it.

[QUOTE=Chuck Bishop;273596]

In a nutshell, I passed out on Monday in the garage

Passed out?? WTH happened? Did you find your scorecard from The Southern???

Dr. thinks the slow heart beat was caused by a specific med I was taking for a-fib.

Do you ever listen to that motley crew of "grey hounds" you hang out with? Never, ever mix-up those "little blue pills!!!"

So relieved to hear it's your left hand. We have a target counter with your name on it at Ernie's!! :bigbye::bigbye::bigbye:

Chuck Bishop 05-12-2019 01:09 PM

Steve, I hope to be there. Margaret may have to drive.

Gary Carmichael Sr 05-20-2019 08:56 AM

Chuck, Some times we don't realize just how important folks like Chuck are to this organization, until all of a sudden he is not there! Got you in my prayers my friend, Gary

Mills Morrison 05-20-2019 09:33 AM

Chuck, Let us know when you are ready for some research letter requests. Until then, relax and get better!

Bill Mullins 05-20-2019 01:07 PM

Chuck, glad you are okay as the fall could have been worse. As we discussed at the Southern I know exactly how you feel. I, too, have a-fib and a slow pulse rate often feeling light headed especially when standing up suddenly or bending over to pick something up. Take care and stay vigilant! 😊

Mike Poindexter 05-20-2019 01:34 PM

Glad to hear your doing OK, Chuck. At our age, "OK" is the operative word. Best.

Mike P.

Mike Franzen 05-21-2019 07:56 AM

Glad to hear you’re ok. I’m sure that was a scary episode. Thank you for all you do for the PGCA.
