Interesting Engraving
1 Attachment(s)
I saw this DHE 16 gage on GI and don't recall this pattern on any D grade I had ever seen before.
|
i like that one, and ducks on a 16
|
Neither have I Larry. Nice rendition of ducks as opposed to the flying turnips.
|
There was a D grade 16 for sale at the Southern that had a duck on each side that was very interesting. I cannot recall what was on the floor plate. Maybe Brian will see this and can chime in and remind me what that was. It was a very interesting gun. 32" barrels also. I like this engraving. Thanks for posting it.

Looks like Remington era engraving, possibly by Runge, is it?

That is a different one Larry! Special for sure.
Yes, Randy. There is a guy out there selling a DHE 16g with 32” barrels. 1 frame. Straight grip, no safety. The gun has quail on the bottom and a duck on each side. One flying and one in the water. An odd one for sure. |

Yes Dean, Remington era. Runge, don't know that one. |
That gun was for sale at Baltimore. Unique engraving and high price.

I got a peek of another high condition DHE 16 with a duck on the trigger plate at Chuck Brunner's. The Tents of Temptation.
