My dad treated the family to two days of quail hunting at Cheeha Combahee Plantation this weekend. It was a great time and first class all the way. I shot my new GH 16 0 frame and my VH 20 I bought in Vegas

Nice to see our Parker Pages advertising manager, Julia Morrison, and her family.

Hard for the photographer to show up in the photos. Here is one though.

Looks like you all had a fine time.

Mills Morrison 02-10-2019 01:49 PM

The place was bought and made into a quail place by a member of the Pratt family. Apparently, he visited his cousins at Good Hope Plantation and decided he had to have a place of his own. It became a club but members of the Pratt family were members until very recently. Our own Allan Mcclane is a member of the Good Hope Pratt family.

Were there any birds involved in this hunt?

Mills Morrison 02-10-2019 05:56 PM

They took the birds away so no game and gun photos, but we got about 35 total

Garry L Gordon 02-10-2019 06:35 PM

Thanks for sharing your hunt. By the looks of it, you'll have more than quail to show for your two days with family.

As an aside, I keep thinking how someone not acquainted with hunting and guns would be enlightened to learn how both bring us together. If the non-hunting/-shooting public only knew...

Now the important stuff... I see three SxS's in the picture. Who was shooting what?

Mills Morrison 02-11-2019 07:54 AM

I had a 16 gauge GH , Dad had a 20 gauge repro and our friend Harrington had an Ithaca 20

I love those family pics and especially seeing grandma enjoying the outdoors. These pics will remind you time and time again how fortunate and blessed we are. Congrats
