OK Hunting

Out in western Oklahoma hunting quail. Reports are there birds are mighty scarce. The desperados picture, Tom Wooden, Bruce Day and Dick Dow, are having breakfast and swapping lies with the locals. Weather is cloudy and cold. We’re getting ready to roll!

Looks like fun

Bruce draws first blood on a low flying single. He’s shooting a like new C grade 20 gauge. Here’s Fielder on a point

Guess there's another reason God made Oklahoma

Randy G Roberts 12-03-2018 10:11 PM

I expected to see a pic of Mike with that G grade Damascus. Don't tell us you got blanked:rotf:

Mike Franzen 12-04-2018 02:30 PM

No, didn’t get blanked. We all got birds. This morning it’s been tough hunting. Very cold and haven’t found a lot of birds yet. Bruce, Tom and I each killed one. We’re warming up at a little diner right now.

Mills Morrison 12-04-2018 02:33 PM

Looks like a lot of fun. I assume wild birds too. Hunting around here has become released birds and it is not the same

Reggie Bishop 12-05-2018 02:38 PM

You guys must be knee deep in birds since we have gotten an update recently!

Tough finding birds. Winds are out of the north at 23 gusts to 32.

End of the day and we are offering a toast to Charlie Herzog who had a lumbar fusion yesterday . They were going to keep him for a few days but then decided the day after that it would be better if he went home. So he is doing fine. But for that he would have been here with us.

Bruce Day 12-05-2018 08:41 PM

Kkkkk

Bill Mullins 12-05-2018 08:51 PM

We all wish Charlie a quick and painless recovery so he can be back what he enjoys the most.... hunting with his Parkers!! 😊
