Greetings all, I’m a new member and with some advice from Chuck Bishop. I realized I have stumbled upon a Parker Trygun s/n 171264 12 gauge I would like to figure out the value I’d say condition is probably 80 85 percent thank you in advance for any information

That is cool!!! Look how fine the checkering seems to be!

Jeff Kuss 09-26-2018 02:34 PM

Does it have all the tools with it?

I imagine placing a value on that gun will be difficult and subjective! But what a great find!

That Try-Gun is listed in the TPS.

I think if you put that gun on an auction site like Gunbroker and start it at a $1 it will sell for exactly what it is worth. What that amount is depends on the last two guys that want it. It is a really neat gun that I think many Parker collectors would like to own.

Sorry- The Parker Story.
I have been writing an article on Try Guns for a while. I have been distracted by other PGCA duties and I still have this darn full time job.
I do not have any independent information on that particular gun.
I would love to have pictures and details.

The last one I saw sold changed hands for $10K. This was a private transaction, not an auction or gun show table deal.

James Julia, incomplete list: $12.075, $12,075 for a pair, $11,500, $9,775, $6,900, 5 different guns. There may be more, but I lost my contact. These are Parker factory guns. I have not seen a Parker Arthur P. Curtis try gun sold in 47 years. I have no idea of the present value of such a gun.
