Attendance looked great yesterday- weather looks OK for today. Banquet tonight - good times, good friends.

Just snapped one quick photo of the tent yesterday- most of the day I spent fending people away from duBray’s AA Parker. If I accepted all of the offers to shoot the gun at $2 each I’d be leaving wealthy! :rotf:

Rick Losey 09-22-2018 07:18 AM

Raise the shooting fee to $10. And charge the $2 for handling and retire

Reggie Bishop 09-22-2018 04:18 PM

More pics please.

Weather has been perfect. Shooting great. People super friendly. And the company exquisite.

Joe Graziano 09-22-2018 04:58 PM

Fantastic time today, Saturday. Unfortunately, I couldn’t stay for the banquet. Weather was great, everyone friendly and so many ways to spend money. Oh my. My father and I had a great time. Now, I just need to win the PFCA raffle:)

Rick Losey 09-22-2018 10:18 PM

Great time

I'll post some pics after the drive home

Everyone looks so YOUNG! I had a great time but, after two full days, I was unable to stay for the dinner. So sorry. I am especially disappointed that I didn't get to visit with Dean, Larry, and wives. I did get to see some Parker guys that I haven't seen for a long time because of physical problems. I won't be back on Sunday because two days was about enough. In the Sandanona days, five days was not enough.

Looks like you all had great weather and a good time. Just one question, in the photos it looks like a garage door............ in the background, where was the annual meeting held?

Bill Mullins 09-23-2018 11:34 AM

I was not able to attend but want to thank all that did and made our 25th PGCA Anniversary banquet a huge success! Wishing the next twenty-five years to be even better!! 🤗😊

Chuck Bishop 09-23-2018 01:35 PM

The banquet/meeting was held on site at Hopkins. The large multipurpose room was just fine.

Mills Morrison 09-23-2018 01:47 PM

It was a lot of fun for me and Mills. Great camaraderie, great weather, great shooting and great guns.

Main event Sunday attendance low due to cold soaking rain all day. Hopkins does a great job rain out of the courses control .

The Charlie Price Literary Award was actually conceived by Bill Mullins to be given to two people each year, this being the inaugural year.

Mike Franzen received the other CPLA for his work producing the Parker Chronicles column in almost every issue since its inception a few years ago.

Very Nice Work Mike! Thank You!

.

Mike Franzen 09-23-2018 10:22 PM

Dean, I was very very happy to see you receive the CPLA. There is no question you deserve it for all the work you do. To be honest I was very surprised when Tom Wooden announced I was selected to also receive it. I just never thought about anything like that. I felt very humbled by the honor. I don’t know who was on the selection committee but thank you all for the acknowledgment. It was wonderful.

Mike Franzen 09-23-2018 10:22 PM

Bill Murphy 09-24-2018 10:26 AM

Eric, the room was set up very elegantly. To hold the banquet off site would have been a nightmare. This part of the Upper Shore is like Kansas, nothing is close to where you are standing. Sorry I couldn't attend, but I did spend a little time in the room, visiting.

Bill Murphy 09-24-2018 10:30 AM

Did everyone or anyone notice that we had a Donald Trump flyover on Saturday afternoon? I think he was returning from his New Jersey resort, flew right over the Hopkins Farm.

Mike Franzen 09-24-2018 10:34 AM

Hey Bill, thanks for the kind words about the banquet. I think John Davis asked the President to fly over in tribute to the pgca’s 25th anniversary. John has a lot of clout in high places ;-)

Mills Morrison 09-24-2018 11:05 AM

Here is an album with photos. I will post on a few threads

Daryl Corona 09-24-2018 11:08 AM

Funny, all I saw fly over was a crop duster and a lot of edge on, looping, curling targets. Now I know why I don't shoot there more often. Boring.

Now the 5 stand targets for the challenge were a much better mix of crossers, loopers and quartering targets which really kept my interest up, as was the 5 stand Craig had set up for the waterfowl gun guys.

If Trump really did fly over it would have been nice to let all of us know so we could give him a big thumbs up!
