1 Attachment(s)
Picked up this Parker Trojan 12 - Still has some case coloring.... and an LC Smith both appear to have been used with care. Pretty good day!!!

Congrats! Days like this make you smile:)

That’s cool. Where did you find them?
|
These guns were in a shop in Central Florida - well stocked shop but their customer base has no interest in vintage doubles so we were able to get a really good deal on them....

LC Smith

Checkering on the LC Smith looks good....
|
nice guns to be proud of....charlie

What grade is the LC? The checkering is too deep for a post-1913 field grade, and the zig zag border around the lockplate is not something Ive seen before. The ebony inlay in the forend tip is also not a field grade. Maybe a 1 grade from pre-1913? Nice gun, anyway.

If no engraving other than the border a pre-13 Grade O.

Not sure about the grade... the serial is 337643. I did look at others on Guns Intl and cant find one that matches this border pattern.... seems to be a pretty good gun.

Looks like an 0 grade. Bobby

It's an "R" frame "O" grade extractor gun dated 1912---last year of production. Most-but not all had this engraving pattern. Likewise, this grade was advertised as Damascus steel tubes but could be ordered with London steel tubes.

Great finds. I am particularly fond of Parker Trojans. I've always liked them. I just bought a 16 that I'm in the process of restoring. I also am very fond of the early LC guns. Yours looks great. Congratulations.

I would guess 0 grade too.
