Frank Halsey
Does anyone have news of Frank Halsey? He last posted in November 2017. I have PMed him several times with no response. Is he still with us?
The last post I could find was October 2017. He was buying a set of barrels from Patrick Lien. Did anyone know him personally?
Frank, Linda and I had a lovely visit at an early Fall Southern. Some time later, I sent Frank a package of provenance information on a gun he was contemplating buying. He posted on this forum, but I never met him again. A PGCA roster from 2005 mentioned his home as Sycamore, Illinois. I can't locate a later roster right now.
I sent him an email last evening asking about his absence from the Forum recently but haven’t received a reply yet.
Sure hope he’s still in good health. . |
Tried callingFrank late this afternoon and it went to voicemail. Left a message but no response as of yet. I’ll let all know if I do. Jim

I have PMed him, emailed him, no response.

Frank's guns have started to appear in nationally advertised gun auctions. Doesn't anyone know Frank? I thought him to be a fine fellow, interested in trap guns.
He is not on a recent PGCA roster. Does anyone know what guns on the RIA auction were his?

UPDATE: Frank Halsey suffered a severe stroke in November 2017 just before Thanksgiving and has been in the medical system since. His wife conveyed to me he is coming along slowly and she hopes, through rehab that he will be able to return home someday. She asks for everyone’s prayers. You can send messages via PM and she will relay them and she is going to renew his membership. May God bless the Halsey family and smile down favorably on our friend and member Frank. Thank you

Sorry to hear the news
Wow..... what a shock.
. |
Jim, are you able to give us any recent information on Frank Halsey?
Not as of yet Bill
Just spoke with Franks wife and he is recovering at home for about a month now and has good days and bad days but seems to be doing better at home rather than the facility he was in. She asks to keep the prayers coming. Thanks Jim

It was nice talking to Jim about Frank's situation today on the phone. Frank was a great guy, and I will always think of him when I shoot his 20 gauge SC trap gun. I have hopes for Frank's recovery.
It's always sad to hear of someones medical ills. I pray him a healthy recovery.
He will be on my prayer list! Gary
