Aftermarket Ejectors
4 Attachment(s)
Anyone ever see anything like this?
|
Not me...
That's certainly an interesting one. . |
Well, that’s a new one.
Is it operational? It looks gutted. |
Seller says the ejectors have been disabled. I’ve seen aftermarket ejectors before, but none that modified the receiver like that.

That gun is an absolute mess. The rib extention has been botched beyond repair. I do not think the wood is original, but if it is, it has been reshaped and recheckered incorrectly. Not to mention the extreme modification to the frame and forend for some sort of ejector system that is missing components and will never operate again, if it even did to start with.
No price could be low enough on this one. But, someone will buy it. |
Beyond what Brian said, I would be afraid the thin sections next to the knuckle would break assembling the gun. I wouldn't touch this one.
|
Almost looks like an 1894-99 Remington-esque treatment of an after-market ejector train.
|
Aftermarket ejectors and a "checkered all over" forend points to a special order gun, maybe ordered by a famous shooter. This gun, bad as it is, needs a PGCA letter.

I think this the proper emotibonic. I think it was defined as confused. However it is shame that a DHE got so messed up. If a letter could track down offender then it would be worth it. Just kidding though, people make disastrous mistakes with good intentions all the time. This just happens to be lingering evidence of one. |

Well, you know the serial number. Put your check in the mail and tell us what you find. |
BTW how can they call it a DHE when gun had no Ejectors before. Isn't it just a messed up DH.
|
Yes. It was just a DH. And with the ejector system gutted, it still is.
|
I would think there would be a way to repair it and maybe replace with a salvaged extractor system.. Also must be a way to shim or braise some more metal to support that thin cutout sliver remnant. I would not even guess to how much that project would even cost to discount the gun. Looks like a mechanic special.
