2018 Annual Meeting and Banquet of the PGCA

The Parker Gun Collectors Association’s Annual Meeting and Banquet will be held in Kennedyville, MD in conjunction with the Vintage Gunners Cup at Hopkins Game Farm September 21 – 23, 2018. Our Annual Meeting & Banquet will take place on Saturday night, Sept. 22, in the Hopkins Game Farm’s Function Hall. We are all looking forward to the Silent Auction, the People’s Choice awards, the special Guest Speaker, the Raffle Gun drawing, the Distinguished Service Awards, and a ‘State of the Organization’ address by our President, Tom Wooden and we believe everyone will be pleased with the agenda. This year’s theme for the guns in the People’s Choice Awards display is “Waterfowl Guns.” Tickets will go on sale early in 2018. Director Mike Franzen as organizer of this event, has blocked thirty rooms at the Holiday Inn Express at the very good rate of $99/night. Call 410-778-0778 and ask specifically for the front desk to reserve lodging and use code PGC when doing so. The later you wait to reserve a room the more difficult it will be to find one as there is an annual “Brides Convention” in town on that same weekend. We hope to see you all there! At the Annual Meeting that is…

I just called to make my reservations and had problems with the PGC booking so I was transferred to the FRONT DESK and it was a seamless transaction from then on.

We have already sold about half of the 100 available tickets. Cost for a ticket is $65.00 for members of the PGCA and their guests(if purchased by July 22) and $75.00 for non-members. To get your tickets send checks payable to the PGCA to: David Suponski

Gentlemen, I have just spoke with the Manager of the Holiday Inn Express. there was a minor snaffu with reservations but, I have been assured everything is in order now and booking can commence. There are approximately 25 rooms available. If, you are going to the event and want to stay with the fun bunch I would suggest you book a room ASAP.

Brian Dudley 05-13-2018 11:40 AM

Just booked. No issues.

Mike Franzen 05-13-2018 11:58 AM

Thanks for the positive report Brian.

Great Rick I’m hoping to finally get to meet you.

Decided to fly and just booked travel for me and my son Mills. Allegiant Air was very reasonable. Looking forward to seeing everyone

Bill, the PGCA has a block of rooms reserved for members at the Holiday Inn Express in Chestertown. At a very reasonable rate I might add.

I have an extra room available if anyone needs it.
I also have two extra dinner/meeting tickets.
My son can't come as he is in the process of moving from SC to CT.

So, I'm pretty late to the game here, but wondering if I can still get a ticket for the banquet on Saturday night? Have we sold 100 so far, or are there any left? Can I still send a check to Dave, or pay when I get there?

Thanks,

Mike

Dave Suponski 09-19-2018 12:25 PM

Mike, See Mike Franzen he has a few extra tickets

George M. Purtill 09-19-2018 12:41 PM

Bad move on his part. He could probably pass for a Southern Gentleman by now.
