Parker 11/2 frame 16
I have known about this 16 gauge for awhile but ended up trading for it today.
It is a 1 1/2 frame 16 with 30” Vulcan steel barrels which are full and full with an unstruck weight of 4lbs 10 oz. S/N 129001 Here is a picture of the barrel markings. I had checked with Chuck a year ago and there really is not much information in the records. I would like to hear of others with 1 1/2 frame 16 gaugs or other heavy barrel 16 gauges. http://parkerguns.org/forums/attachm...1&d=1517882944 |

Phil,
My opinion has not changed since you mentioned this gun previously. :) Patrick |
Phil, I have a P grade 20ga with twist barrels that is built on a 1 1/2 frame. It is currently at Brad's getting some work done.
|
4-10 barrel weight. This gun must be a horse. I have a #3 frame 16 that weighs about nine pounds. I'll try to remember to post its barrel weight marking.

Eric what are the barrel length of your 20?
Bill I weighed the gun last night it weighs an even 8 lbs on my digital scale. |

I cleaned everything up and reasembled. Plan on going on hinting tomorrow and will test fire. At 8 lbs its heaverier than any of my 12 gauges.

Mine, with 28" barrels, is heavier than many ten gauges.

I took the 16 out yesterday to try it out and shot some RST’s spreaders through it. At 8 lbs it is a little heavy for chasing Mearns quail but the triggers were found to be wonderful and the felt recoil was very mild.
Choked Full and Full Im guessing this may have been ordered by a duck hunter. |
