Okay, i admit that i am a relative throwback when it comes to tech issues. But I am hoping someone else in this group lives on I phone and I pad.... i have such trouble posting photos from my apple photo library... Any wisdom?
|
Does any of this help?
http://parkerguns.org/forums/faq.php...b3_attachments I'll freely admit that I know nothing about the iSystem but there you go. --allan |
eye who??
|
Exactly,Richard!
|
I have never taken a picture with my flip phone.
|
i would not say i live on my iphone
but i load pics to my albums here from it basically the same way i load them from my laptop |
I use my phone for conversations and my camera for pictures. When you need a rifle a shotgun won't do and visa versa.......just sayin:whistle:
|
yup
when ever smart phones are mentioned -the self proclaimed " I'm agin 'em " posts show up - a reverse status the question was about posting pictures - which i notice some of the "unusual suspects" love to ask for but don't post - not even from a Tandy :rotf: - all good natured fun but- i find the phone and internet access handy My wife and i decided to go to dinner the other night- but in this holiday season we were not sure we would get in- we could have run home and looked up the restaurant in the phone book ( oh wait - we don't get one any more ) or i could google the place, hit "call" on the website and be done with it  that said, i prefer my Nkon DSLR for real pictures - and use the camera on the phone on more as a note pad- i see something i want to remember, i'll take a picture instead of writing it down- its quicker and I can't read my own handwriting any way :) |
It also works well when my single daughter calls me with a home repair, automotive, or farm question and we switch the call to Face Time so I can walk her through the details. So I agree with you, Rick. I do not "live" on or for my iPhone, but I do enjoy the access and instant memory it provides....

Yikes!
I dont love my iphone, nor my ipad, BUT, Im the principal of a large insurance agency, and run a national conservation organization....I only mention that, because without the connectivity, due to the large amount of travel I do, these devices also allow me to do a few of the things I love to do too, hunt, fish and collect shotguns. The main part of my Insurance work is oil and gas well “blowout” insurance, and my clients must be able to reach me 24-7. That all being said, cant wait for the day that i’m not tied to the office with an electronic leash! “ |
No electronic leash now for several years and happy to be done with that.
Now to answer the original question How to post pictures from your iPhone to PGCA website. On your phone: Open PCGA web site Touch Discussion Forum Touch User CP (control panel) Touch Pictures and Albums Touch the album you want to add a picture to (or to which you want to add a picture - just felt the teacher's yardstick for ending a sentence with a preposition) Touch Upload Pictures You will get the opportunity to add up to 5 images here Touch Choose File Now you can 1: take a Photo 2: Choose Photo Library or 3: Browse If you want to choose a pic from your Photo Library, just touch the one you want to add. Browse takes you to the iCloud which I avoid simply because I don't like heights Now you have touched the picture you want you then touch Upload That picture will now show in that album (after a few seconds) You can add a caption and even say you want that one as your album cover That's it. Took much longer to type this than to do the procedure Here is one I just added from my phone today. Charlie (the bird dog not Charlie the forum contributor), just stood there and continued to give me the WTF look after she worked up a nice rooster which was then followed by BANG but nothing dropped for her to retrieve. Hate disappointing her but it does happen from time to time. http://parkerguns.org/forums/picture...pictureid=9763 |
You da man!! Thanks!
|
charlie looked mighty disappointed with that miss....charlie

Jack , I just attempted your instructions ,worked pretty well ,I added an album under my name but my pics. are upside down ,how do I straighten them up and then how do I post them on a Thread from an album ???Thanks ; Russ
|
Russ: Not sure how to rotate a pic already in the album. Assume it was in proper orientation in your phone. I think John Dunkle figured that out in the past maybe he can chime in.
As for posting a pic in the forum: Go to your album Open the pic at the bottom you will see Picture URL and BB Code Click on the BB Code Copy the highlighted code Go to your forum message Paste the code into the message (it won't look like a pic at that point) Click on Preview Message and it should be there Click Submit New Thread Try it out and give us a pic Cheers, Jack |
Well ,we will see if it works ! http://parkerguns.org/forums/picture...pictureid=9767
