Fishtail top lever guns
 

Hello PGCA Friends,

The theme for this years PGCA annual meeting is "Fishtail Top Lever guns."

Please bring any / all examples to the annual meeting display. I still have space available for reseveration. I am anticipating a very nice display and would like to have at least 40 different examples for viewing in addition to the Invincibles.

Fish Tail Top Levers
 

Thanks Josh; I'll note mine here to stir the pot; Dam 3, three frame, 10 ga, 51000 s/n; my highest straight lever is also a three frame ten, 48000. There is a three thousand gun window to look for that first fishtail.
This looks like a great fun display; I'll bet the first fishtail was a T0 or P; but this is an interesting era; with hammerless coming on at 55000 with many high grade guns that may have the fishtail.

WWAAAHHHH!! I wanna go see all those beauties...

Looks to me like you could fly down in that pretty red tundra jumper you have there. A lot of us sure would like to meet you and isn't that privy-blaster of yours a fishtail lever gun?

I wish! I'd like it to have a fishtail so I could open it with the right hammer back... almost lost the ability to fly the red tundra hopper anywhere today. It's blowing 30 here, 60+ at the drill rig, so hard that the drillers had to quit and come off the mtn, and the plane anchors pulled and it blew over a steep 6ft? embankment and into the pucker brush... ended up upright with no damage aside from a few scuffs on the belly. Some days your luck factor has more juju than your stoopid factor. I got lucky today....

Someday I'm going to do just that, fly down to a gathering, and meet the crowd. I long for that time I can tell you...

Fire up all those pistons and fly her to Fairbanks. A big aluminum bird will do a good job from there to the DC area. No doubt one of us could pick you up at almost any airport on the East Coast. JFK, LGA, Newark, Ronald Reagan, Baltimore...

Richard do they have to pull some pipe when you leave or do they let it circulate wile they are gone? ch I can remember tripping pipe and the blocks banging off the side of the derrick when they were coming up to me, in that good ol kansas wind and snow blowing so hard you could barley see the floor hands. But thats back when we usted to use are hands for slips. ch

Calvin: they can just shut it down most of the time, unless the ground is too broken or clay rich that the rods might stick if left still. They just pull off the bottom a bit. If the ground is bad, they'll trip out before leaving.
