Mother Nature at her Finest
2 Attachment(s)
Taken yesterday at the height of the storm system coming through Vt's Northeast Kingdom.
Pictures of this super cell taken less than 5 minutes apart. This is from the front door of "Grouse Camp" (photographed by Diane Simons) . |
Dean, that is scary looking stuff:shock: Especially here in the Northeast. Hope there was no damage to camp.
|
I wish I could go to "Grouse Camp" in the summer. I am soooo tired of going to work. It lloks beautiful there, bet that same picture in the fall would be spectacular.
Maybe you should have challenged Mother Nature by running into the eye of the storm waving a 16 hammer gun. |

Very beautiful
|
That is beautiful country for sure. Are those the White Mtns in the distance?
|
Wow, beautiful country.
|
Yes, looking south to the 'Presidential Range" of the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
. |
We had a few tornado's here in Maine yesterday and last night. One right in the middle of Sebago lake that was pretty big! A rarity here in Maine...
|
Bob, have you seen any pictures of it?
How about in Denmark? I've told you about my friend who lives there - I left a message to him asking how he weathered the violent weather but he hasn't replied yet.... . |
There are pictures Dean on line that others showed me. It made the news this morning. Denmark came out ok from what I have heard and seen. I watched a few start to form and then dissipate. Never seen anything like it!

Harold I was at Grouse Camp this weekend. Just got home to beat the holiday traffic. Lots of rain all summer, the ditch in front of the house resembles a trout stream:eek: |

A mile up the road from Grouse Camp out on Fink's Hill above the beaver pond down at the Old Hall Place (just fieldstone foundations now) on the opening morning of deer season 2003 at sunrise, I cast my Dad's ashes to the gentle breezes from his favorite promontory. This view is down the same valley toward New Hampshire's White Mountains.

A very special place for you Dean.
|
Yes, A very fitting place, to be lifted by the breeze to all those special places, Good job dean, Gary
