I found this photo in a Antique store yesterday and It looked interesting. I'm not sure if this is something that is mass produced or a good find. I thought some one will know here. Thanks Thomas

That is one neat photo Thomas. Nice find.

Rick Losey 04-16-2017 09:58 PM

Thanks Too bad there is no story with it

The guy on the right looks be holding a massive hammer gun but is that a rifle held by the one one the left ? Is he in uniform with that campaign hat?

And please someone. Date the car - 1928 or later. Past the 8 bore days

Thomas L. Benson Sr. 04-16-2017 10:09 PM

The smaller guy his holding a single shot 410. The guy in the center has his hand on top of his cased LOM and I think you are pretty close on the year of the car. Thomas

Single Shot

Lefever Long Range Field and Trap #2?

Frank Cronin 04-17-2017 07:51 AM

The guy on the far right looks like he's got a LC Smith Syracuse with the large convex ribs.

It's a great picture but, as you can see by the date stamp in the lower right corner, It's not old. The picture was taken by Pete Lester, and shows Scott Kittredge on the left, Bill Janelle in the center, and Frank Cronin on the right end. It just looks old because that's still pretty much how they dress in New Hampshire

So, Mister Conklin was a duck hunter.

Thomas L. Benson Sr. 04-17-2017 10:16 AM

Edgar: Thanks for the belly laugh this morning.I wish you would write a humor column for Parker Pages every issue. I know I sure would enjoy it. Thomas

Yes we are not the kind of people who give up on our clothes and vehicles just because they have a little age on them. Some day I may spring for the cost of color film but do you see all those birds, ya that is how we roll up here :)

Pete, I'll check the fridge. I may have some Instamatic 110 I could bring to Addieville.

wayne goerres 04-19-2017 10:08 PM

Looks like those pics were taken with a browning box camera.

Thomas L. Benson Sr. 04-19-2017 10:38 PM

Rick: The guy with the LOM on the running board is a Banker in a small town in Western Minnesota and in the case is a 34 inch 5 frame Parker 10 Ga. that now is in my care. Thomas:)
