June 2010 Parker of the Month Contest..
It's time, once again - for the submitting pictures for the June 2010 Parker of the Month - all who are registered to the Parker Forums are encouraged to participate.. Until later this month (June, if my calendar is correct ;) ), please post your pictures in this thread (and only this thread!). I will close this thread on or about June 28th - and post a new POLL so folks can vote on their favorite "Parker of the Month". At the end of the poll - the winning picture will be shown here:
http://parkerguns.org and be reserved for the month of June 2010 when (if??) we do a Parker Calendar. The Ground rules are simple..... Please post up to FIVE of YOUR (sorry - they MUST BE YOUR PHOTOS!) pictures in this thread. We encourage you to enter even if you only have one photo that you like, as folks will be looking for "that Parker Quailty" that defines "Why we do this", so that one photo could be a winning photo. Those my be of a Parker, hunting scene with a Parker, still-life or even an action shot. You MAY re-post a picture from a previous month, if your entry was not the previous winner. Members may comment on the photo entries in the photo contest thread and leave nice comments about other images in the thread if you feel the urge to do so. BUT - please do not post any photos in this thread that are not intended to be entries. Pictures NOT posted as entries will be deleted from the thread..... Good luck and have FUN! :bigbye: John |

Dave, are those coyotes or foxes?
|
They look like gray fox to me. Nice photo Dave.

Thanks John for sharing that pic...it made me smile. Wish I could have met her....perhaps I will someday...you can introduce us up there....smiles.

Hi Lee..!
That would be my pleasure to introduce the two of you..! Somehow, despite the span of what I would imagine would be nearly a century as an age difference - my guess is that you two would have more in common than in differences. For example, she was a very kind and gentle woman. John |
Dean and Larry, I was thinking Coyotes when I saw them. My Indian Chief neighbor said they were Red Fox. I just knew they were predators terrorizing his chickens, and that's my source of free fresh eggs.

Is this for June or July?
|
Hey James!!!
WONDERFUL PICTURE!!! As well - to answer your question about June or July - "Yes it is"..... ;) In seriousness, I was going to do a poll a few weeks ago, but - as folks are out shooting (Parkers - not so much their cameras) - I left this up for a while longer as there haven't been a lot of entries for June (well - or July?)... So - I'll get it done - and if others would please post pics - that would be outstanding!!! John |

Owner and Ginger both in training for this falls' hunt. First season for both gun and dog. Has anyone seen this type of stock carving on other guns?
This Parker was made in 1929. A 1937 Stoegers catalog lists stock carving on any gun as an option. Had to get some help to resize the pictures in order to post. Took some time but here they are. |
