Display and Sale tables at the 2017 Annual meeting January 20-22 2017
The PGCA annual meeting in 2017 will be held at the Las Vegas Antique Arms show, January 20-22 2017. The PGCA will have a block of 20 tables at this prestigious show. The organization has 18 tables that are offered to members to display or sell Parker guns and Parker related items.
The normal price for a table at the Vegas gun show is $375. For our members, the price of a table is $275! That is a full $100 discount!!! Included with each table will be two badges for the show. One for the table holder and another for their helper. This also allows the table holder to come in on Thursday during set up day which is not open to the public. Member Richard (Dick) Dow has graciously offered to coordinate the table sales. If you are interested in a table, please reach out to Dick via phone at 714-609-2508. He can also be reached via PM on this website. You will need to mail your payment in full for the table to Dick to reserve your space. No tables will be reserved without payment in full, made payable to the "Parker Gun Collectors Association." Please don't hesitate to contact me or Dick with any questions. Viva Las Vegas! |
Theme?
Has the BOD selected a People's Choice theme for this year's annual meeting?
|
George- I dont think it has been announced yet, but i am not sure. What do you think would be of interest?
|
How about the rare 1/2 frame 12 gauge guns? (Hint Hint)
|
That would be a good choice, Chuck. Larter suggested show guns. That's s good one as well.
|
Dont forget to reach out to Dick Dow for tables - we only have a total of 18 and they are going to sell out!!!

Time is running out gentlemen - we need to set a deadline (soon to be announced) for reserving tables at the Las Vegas show on the weekend of our Annual Meeting.
Tables are available for the selling of guns for $275 for PGCA Members (a $100 savings from the $375 charged by the promoter to everyone else). Tables are also available for display only for $175 for PGCA Members (a $100 savings from the $275 charged by the promoter to everyone else). Those wishing to reserve tables must contact Mr. Richard Dow to make arrangements. Mr. Dow's phone number can be found in the first post in this thread made by Josh Loewensteiner. Please don't delay any longer. Members in the West have always wanted an Annual Meeting to be held in the West so here's your opportunity to take full advantage of this Las Vegas venue. . |
How many tables are still available?
|
Kevin: I have been hunting in Montana so I'm just checking in. We have tables left. My number again is 714-609-2508. Dave Noreen pointed out to me that the PGCA price for a table with two tickets isn't much more than the special three day entrance pass.
|
How much is the 3 day pass and where are they purchased?
|
As of Friday morning 11/4 there were only two tables remaining that had not been reserved.
For anyone concerned with getting their guns to the Las Vegas Arms Show or the Annual Meeting for the People's Choice, there is a FedEx store right in the Westgate Hotel that you can ship your guns to and they will hold them for a few days (call ahead to learn how far in advance you can send them). This FedEx store has held Colts, Winchesters, and other fine collectibles worth hundreds of thousands of dollars without ever a problem. Some of the biggest collectors and best auction houses use their services without hesitation. . |
Dean, has the People''s Choice display been selected?
|
Yes, the People's Choice theme has been determined.
This year we will not focus on a particular grade, gauge, or period of the Parker Gun but the People's Choice theme is "Your Favorite Parker". In other words, it will be a 'wild card' - Whichever of your own Parkers you like best or is your own favorite "carry gun" or your nicest "safe queen" or your "go to clays gun"..... it really doesn't matter - just bring it and it will be judged on its own merit. You may want to display your PGCA Research Letter with it or maybe a single page about why it is your favorite.... But you must not sign it or include your name. We're judging the gun, not the owner. These display guns should be anonymous. . |
Mine's not anonymous, Dean, but unanimous and magical for me: original 1889 hammer 0 grade 16 lightened and fishtail. I wish I could be there, a wonderful theme.
|
If a research letter is included, you should blank out your name and address so as to not reveal the owner of the gun.

I originally was going to share a display table, but that fell through, so now I have a whole table. The question arises, where do we get our show badges and our table assignments? Who is collecting the names we want for our table badges so they can be made ahead of time and we don't have to stand in line there to have the badges made?
|
Dave: That information was never given to me. I'm sure Josh will chime in soon. RD
|
Dave and Dick,
We are compiling the names for the badges now for the show promoter. Most likely, I will end up picking up the badges from the show promoter on Wednesday and will have them with me. The best thing to do is call me when you arrive. (704) 280-2382. I won't be far away since I will be with the Julia's crew setting up their displays. |
See you there. I'm there for the Shot Show as part of a BSA contingent from our local council ( we are trying to raise $1.5 mil for three new range complexes) and will come over for the first day of the Vintage Arms show.
