Got mine yesterday. By far the fastest I have ever received one before. I am usually 3 to 4 weeks behind the first recipients.
Great issues as well. Really enjoyed the article by Brian Dudley as I am considering doing this to a recent purchase. Was a very timely and appropriate article for me. Well done guys. How did you know? |

Got my issue yesterday. It always makes me smile when I see it in the mailbox. Great cover photo too. What a display that man put out for the HOF banquet.
|
Got mine Saturday (or maybe it was Friday); haven't had time to crack it open yet!

Hey Gary Carmichael, i didnt know the Mattie gun was owned by the Tsar.

Yea Brian they got the photos mixed up, the photo showing the Tsar Gun was actually the mattie gun! but I bet the tsar would loved to have owned it! Gary

From a distance they do look alike, but the Mattie gun has hammers!
|
My sincere apologies to all, especially to you Gary. I really have no idea where that picture of The Mattie gun came from. I don't think you sent it to me Gary - and then it got mixed in with the HOF pictures.
It was an editorial error and nobody's fault but mine. Best, Dean . |
Don't be sorry Dean- sometimes errors are pretty cool.
|
Pretty darn good. This thread started on the 16th and it was in my P.O. Box on the 20th.
|
Dean, not to worry. Those that make no mistakes do NOTHING.

My only question would be who is the author of The 8 Gauge Turkey Recipe? I didn't see it attributed to anyone.
|

|
My PP even got here a couple of days ago. That's definitely record time.

Gary, I think we'd all like to see a photo-essay and article on your "Mattie Gun" in a future issue of Parker Pages - after we see the "Chicken Thief Gun" of course. . |
A question went unanswered. Who wrote the 8 gauge Turkey Recipe. Inquiring minds want to know.
|
The author of the "8-Gauge Turkey Recipe" article is none other than our own Mr. Wayne Owens. Thanks for that well-written and in-depth article Wayne!
Additionally, Jeff Kuss contributed the "A Trip Thru Parker Brothers" sales pamphlet, originally written by Walter King and published in 1923. Thanks very much Jeff! . |
The printing of that pamphlet was great to see. I had been wanting to see that. Was not sure if any copies were still out there.
