John Truitt 06-19-2016 06:50 PM

Got mine yesterday. By far the fastest I have ever received one before. I am usually 3 to 4 weeks behind the first recipients.

Great issues as well.

Really enjoyed the article by Brian Dudley as I am considering doing this to a recent purchase. Was a very timely and appropriate article for me. Well done guys. How did you know?

Got my issue yesterday. It always makes me smile when I see it in the mailbox. Great cover photo too. What a display that man put out for the HOF banquet.

Phil Yearout 06-20-2016 10:26 AM

Got mine Saturday (or maybe it was Friday); haven't had time to crack it open yet!

Brian Dudley 06-20-2016 04:08 PM

Hey Gary Carmichael, i didnt know the Mattie gun was owned by the Tsar.

Jim DiSpagno 06-20-2016 05:32 PM

Mine came today. Thanks Dean

Gary Carmichael Sr 06-21-2016 08:14 AM

Yea Brian they got the photos mixed up, the photo showing the Tsar Gun was actually the mattie gun! but I bet the tsar would loved to have owned it! Gary

Gary Carmichael Sr 06-21-2016 08:21 AM

From a distance they do look alike, but the Mattie gun has hammers!

Dean Romig 06-21-2016 08:46 AM

My sincere apologies to all, especially to you Gary. I really have no idea where that picture of The Mattie gun came from. I don't think you sent it to me Gary - and then it got mixed in with the HOF pictures.
It was an editorial error and nobody's fault but mine.

Best, Dean

George M. Purtill 06-21-2016 08:55 AM

Don't be sorry Dean- sometimes errors are pretty cool.

Dave Noreen 06-21-2016 09:40 AM

Pretty darn good. This thread started on the 16th and it was in my P.O. Box on the 20th.

Jim DiSpagno 06-21-2016 09:49 AM

Dean, not to worry. Those that make no mistakes do NOTHING.

My only question would be who is the author of The 8 Gauge Turkey Recipe? I didn't see it attributed to anyone.

Gary Carmichael Sr 06-22-2016 08:52 AM

Dean, You do a great job! Heck I got the Mattie gun in the Parker Pages how neat is that, gary

Richard Flanders 06-22-2016 10:47 AM

My PP even got here a couple of days ago. That's definitely record time.

Gary, I think we'd all like to see a photo-essay and article on your "Mattie Gun" in a future issue of Parker Pages - after we see the "Chicken Thief Gun" of course.

wayne goerres 06-22-2016 07:36 PM

A question went unanswered. Who wrote the 8 gauge Turkey Recipe. Inquiring minds want to know.

Dean Romig 06-22-2016 10:10 PM

The author of the "8-Gauge Turkey Recipe" article is none other than our own Mr. Wayne Owens. Thanks for that well-written and in-depth article Wayne!

Additionally, Jeff Kuss contributed the "A Trip Thru Parker Brothers" sales pamphlet, originally written by Walter King and published in 1923. Thanks very much Jeff!

Brian Dudley 06-22-2016 11:07 PM

The printing of that pamphlet was great to see. I had been wanting to see that. Was not sure if any copies were still out there.
