Bachelder Master Gunmakers

Just received a set of barrels back from Bachelder's a half-hour ago.

When I finally got the package open and all of the protective wrapping undone... phew!... I was stunned!

These barrels are Brand New!!

If this reads like a personal endorsement - it IS

Awesome, I've heard nothing but good things about the work Brad does.

I am glad to hear that you had a favorable experience Dean.

Nope - the 'rules' don't apply this time.

Y'all can see the pics when the article is published in Parker Pages. :bigbye:

Every single "experience" (read - refinish/restoration/repair done by Bachelder's) has been more than 'favorable'.

George M. Purtill 04-12-2016 03:17 PM

First Dean will have to find someone to write it.

Dean Romig 04-12-2016 03:20 PM

I think the owner of the gun will write it.....

(and I'm not that guy )

.

Rich Anderson 04-12-2016 03:24 PM

Dean needs a Ghost writer:rotf:

Steve Cambria 04-12-2016 03:58 PM

No. Dean needs an EDITOR with an unlimited supply of red ink!! :bigbye::bigbye::bigbye:

charlie cleveland 04-12-2016 09:06 PM

Rich Anderson 04-13-2016 08:58 AM

My question is why would Dean have the barrels if it's not his gun???? I think there is more to the story.

Eric Eis 04-13-2016 11:02 AM

I'm just wondering if I am going to get my Parker Pages....:banghead: I think the printer has it in for me....

Dean Romig 04-13-2016 11:34 AM

BACHELDER'S

I had a tour of Brad's shop last week. Unbelievable. I'm not sure how that much knowledge fits in his head. The case coloring process, and the subtle variations of chemicals temperatures and times for the various gun manufacturers and types of metal is amazing. For such a complicated process, he said his "do over" rate was less than 1%.

Paul Harm 04-13-2016 03:30 PM

I've had many guns worked on by Brad and if there was ever a question he took care of it without question. He does excellent work and backs it up. He went through some serious heart problems a little while back but he's back up and running strong.

I've had Brad do several damascus barrels, but I'm sending out my first cold rust bluing job.
He did the barrels and re-cased the receiver on this gun, but Chris Dawe re-stocked it for me. It was to be my sporting clays gun, were it not for blowing my shoulder out last summer.

charlie cleveland 04-13-2016 08:36 PM

that is a nice gun and work by others...does your shoulder still give you problems....charlie

Mills Morrison 04-13-2016 09:29 PM

Nice case there too Edgar.

Brad fixed the trigger on my Super Fox and did a good job

Charlie, each day I think it's almost normal, and the psychos at physical therapy do their number on me, and I want to throw in the towel. Tougher to get over these things at this age. (but it beats the alternative)

John Dallas 04-14-2016 08:08 AM

Careful about that "psycho" stuff. My daughter is a Physical Therapist :nono:

My daughter's got her masters in applied meteorology, but when it's pissin' down rain when it was supposed to be sunny, I call her names too.

allen newell 04-14-2016 08:36 AM

Hang in there Edgar, it's tough staying young

From what I hear, it can't be done...

Should that not be a 'physio' therapist?

John Dallas 04-14-2016 12:07 PM

In England, I think "Yes". In Cleveland, No

edgarspencer 04-14-2016 01:33 PM

And in Hollywood, they're called Psycho Therapists.
