2016 Distinguished Service Awardees
 

It has happened only once before and this year there was a tie in the number of nominations two of our awardees received, thereby giving us the great pleasure of awarding three, rather than the normal two, Distinguished Service Awards.

As I announced the awardees last evening at the Annual Meeting Banquet, I have listed them in alphabetical order - the number of nominations each received is immaterial at this point.

Unfortunately, none of the awardees were present at the banquet, as we all would have enjoyed congratulating them and shaking their hands.

Without further a'do the Distinguished Service Awardees are below and I'm sure you all will agree they each were very deserving of the award.

We all thank each of them for their dedicated service and we thank all those who took the time to submit their nominations.

Am I correct that Mary Bowes is the first recipient to win twice?

I beleive that Chuck has won twice as well. But i may be mistaken.

Nobody can be awarded the Distinguished Service Award twice. They both were awarded Lifetime Memberships at our Annual Meeting in 2014 because of their dedication and hard work. Their Lifetime Membership was an award given by the BOD whereas the Distinguished Service Award is determined by the PGCA Members.
