Addieville Shoot this Weekend

For those who do not regularly check the Events thread, see posting on a shoot this Saturday in Rhode Island at Addieville Preserve.

Looks like we will be "joined" by some of our brethren from the Fox and LC Smith Clubs for a bit of friendly rivalry.

Also, bring stuff for the grill, as Dave always has a good cookout after the morning sporting clays shoot, and before we give it a go on the 5 stand.

Hey Dean!

Not sure about Hausman's, as I think I will be in Haiti that week? There is a group of kids from CA who have raised money for the orphanage and I'm still waiting to see when they want to come over? Anyway - have fun this weekend!!!

John

Dean Romig 05-14-2010 09:46 PM

I'll shoot a clay for you John . . . or at least I'll try to shoot one for you

Rich Anderson 05-15-2010 09:09 AM

I don't work on Friday:) besides I'm self employed so I can work when it doesn't interfere with the important things like shooting, hunting ect. You won't get this right away because your working:rolleyes: and I'm going shooting.

Robin Lewis 05-15-2010 05:53 PM

It was a great day! It was warm with lots of sun and the wind made the targets much more interesting. I will let Dave announce the results of the competition.

I wish I were a better marksman but it was fun. I had an 11 year old on our squad and he broke almost as many birds as I did. When he gets a gun that fits and grows a little so he can have a controlled swing & follow through, he is going to be a hard to beat shooter.

All in all a great day, good weather, good company and good food. I'm already looking forward to next years event!

The word from the road is "Parkers kill Fox's". Team Parker victorious by a good margin and reap the $50 purse. This was accomplished without the help of long standing Parker shooter Mr. John Dunkle who was at work:duck:

Richard Flanders 05-15-2010 08:12 PM

If John wasn't there to "borrow" someone's high-grade gun, what's he going to shoot for the next year.... or two...??

Rich Anderson 05-15-2010 08:40 PM

John doesn't need to borrow a high grade gun he has plenty. he just needs to realign his priorities:rolleyes:
