Yup, another year has almost gone by:crying:, Like the last few years ,the NH "boys" have invited other Parker guys to join us at our New years day shoot, at Major Waldrens sportsmen ass. on Rt 9 (Franklin pierce hwy) in Barrington. Its has been a great shoot in the past. hope to see you there on the 1st to start off another year of shooting!! scott

Dean Romig 12-03-2015 04:24 PM

I'll be there... if circumstances allow.

In that case Robin, may I borrow your sixteen gauge AAHE to use at the New Year's Day shoot?

But you drive right past my house to get there

The LI boyz are thinking about attending. How far and long in hours from the BP ferry to waldren's?

Dean Romig 12-09-2015 08:46 AM

How long did it take you to get to Addievillea? Add 2.5 hours to that.
Hope to see you there.

.

john pulis 12-14-2015 11:46 AM

Might not be feasible. The earliest ferry landed at 7:30; we arrived at Addieville at 9:30 or so. Would not make it to Waldrens till noon. Not much time to shoot and then make it back to BP. Any shoots in CT?

bob weeman 12-18-2015 01:41 PM

I will be there this year....and will bring something good to eat!

Mills Morrison 12-18-2015 01:55 PM

I am tempted to make a special trip up for this event. Looks like a lot of fun. Maybe one day . . .

allan.mclane 12-18-2015 06:56 PM

I've cleared my calendar and will be there. BTW, the long range forecast is for partly cloudy, windy, and a high of 40.

:duck:
What we all need is for someone to go get Spencer and drag him along to get some fresh air and provide commentary... :corn:

George M. Purtill 12-20-2015 09:23 PM

Scott
I will be in Stowe VT for NYE and then assuming I can drive, I will cut cross New England to see you.
Dean-o-- I shot my SSS today at skeet and broke 21 so I'll bring it along.

Dean Romig 12-20-2015 09:44 PM

George, did you quit your search for a beater Repro 28 ga. for skeet shooting?

BTW, you'll have to leave Stowe by 6 a.m. in order to be present when the NYD shooting begins.
Are you picking Allan up on your way?

.

allan.mclane 12-20-2015 09:49 PM

I'm not on George's likely route and will make my own way.

Dean Romig 12-20-2015 09:56 PM

What are you shooting Allan?... I have a new 16 ga. I need to get used to so I'll be bringing it... along with some others.

allan.mclane 12-20-2015 10:09 PM

Your hammer gun for skeet and my Trojan for trap. I just checked it again today and the left barrel throws 90% with the 7/8oz #8 RST Lites!

Dean Romig 12-20-2015 10:21 PM

What does that mean? 90% of X pellets were inside a circle of Y diameter? or were there only 10% of X pellets still left in the gun?

allan.mclane 12-21-2015 03:00 PM

I used an 18.75" circle @ 25 yds. & 7/8oz of #8 (@410/oz).
325 pellets out of 360 in the load in that circle.

Last I saw, the other 10% were headed towards New Hampshire somewhere. If I shoot from east to west I usually get about 110%.

Are you coming to Major Waldron's or not?

Dang. That's not Full. That's overflowing.

No. I'm seriously dangerous behind the wheel.

Dean Romig 12-21-2015 04:43 PM

You're seriously dangerous behind the keyboard these days Edgar....

Scott, I'm thinking of driving up from Plymouth, Ma for the shoot. It's 2 hrs from my home to Major Waldrens. I may have missed the start time, can you tell me what time to plan on arriving Friday am? Thanks
