Parkers at Julia's

The Julia's October catalog is now up on the internet. Some neat guns I like the VH 10gauge with Damascus barrels and the grade 3 lifter 10ga. With 33" barrels. They always have a bunch of great guns. What do you like??

Daryl Corona 09-08-2015 05:26 PM

All of them... that's the problem.

Richard Flanders 09-08-2015 06:08 PM

I'll take the CHE 20 2-bbl set...... yeah right.....!

James L. Martin 09-08-2015 06:34 PM

VHE 28ga 30 inch, straight grip stock , they think it will go for $38,000 to $48,000 ! wow

Craig Larter 09-08-2015 06:38 PM

James: In my dream world I would be carrying that VHE 28ga 30" chasing Mearns quail in AZ. You are correct WOW!

I will take the 4 bore Holland and Holland rifle And may I also have the 4 bore Greener.

What I like

I'd be very happy with the 16 gauge hammer gun or the understated but refined unengraved Repro 20.
Erick

Craig;
If I can tag along to AZ. to shoot Mearns with you, you can borrow my VHE 28 with 30" barrels. Sadly, it has a pistol grip.:crying:

CraigThompson 09-08-2015 10:49 PM

I'd be up for the 10 gauge VH , the 10 gauge I think it was a Grade 4 lifter and the 10 gauge Grade 3 I think it was top lever hammer !

One of the more mundane VHE 410's would be nice as would a VHE 28 !

George M. Purtill 09-09-2015 04:16 PM

I know its a sin but that Pachmayr upgrade has a lot of appeal.

charlie cleveland 09-09-2015 07:04 PM

i m like wayne the 4 bores would be my pick....charlie

That 16-gauge 32-inch AAHE would be nice on a Dove pass I use to have in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia!! Don't know what I'd do with it in Washington.

I pulled the 30" VHE 28ga along with my CHE 16ga, CH 10ga and CHE 12ga DT from the Julia auction. They were not supposed to be listed in any catalogue but they did it anyways. The CHE double trap is sold pending funds.
I did not enjoy dealing with Julia's !

Chuck could comment on this, but I don't believe that gun would letter as a grade 0. I believe, as configured, it would be considered a grade 1, based upon its selling price. Technically, it's a Quality T. I'd love it in 28". I've had a few 26" and they are very quick little gems.

David: What was your problem with Julia's? I have been thinking about consigning some of my guns and I would appreciate a "heads up"

Best Regards, George

I have that same dream! I'm hoping if I dream it enough that it will actually come true.

I visited Julia's Tuesday for a preview and was greeted by the staff and was given the grand tour (I will be in Canada during the auction). It was my first visit to the facility and I was very impressed. I had an opportunity to speak with Wes and Jim Julia and was treated very well. I spent time handling all the shotguns in the auction, it was overload!! There were a bunch of very nice doubles and it is so nice to inspect them in person. Some very nice Parkers which I am sure will find new homes with some of the folks on this forum. Good luck to all who bid and especially whose who are successful.

I visited Julia's today on my way out of the Maine woods. What a fabulous collection of guns, it was all I could do to see all the Parkers.
I had personal escort from our own Josh L. [I think he was making sure I didn't make any early withdrawals of Meriden bling.]
