Thanks Parker guys!!!

After a long, tiring and fun 3 days at the NE Classic, I have to thank all my old and new Parker friends for a great weekend of fun and shooting!! Good times sharing the tent with our SxS loving brothers/sisters and sharing meals at "The Inn". I have to say I haven't laughed that hard in a loooong time!!! BTW, COB and Eric, good chance that Mike Smith and I take you guys up on the grouse/woodcock hunt offer!!!! Heck, I'd even use a Parker and be happy!!!! :rotf: Hey Mark, that 8 bore was a RIOT to shoot!!! Thank you very much!!

George M. Purtill 06-07-2015 06:05 AM

Who are the Parker guys??????

We enjoyed sharing the tent. It was certainly the center of activity. But we/I didn't spend a lot of time in the vendor tent and that's a good and bad thing.
I really enjoyed meeting the Fox boys that I have only met on-line before on our Forum.
And we have so many switch-hitters now, I'm not sure who the Parker guys and the Fox Boys are.

It was great sharing the tent and spending time with our Parker brothers and sisters. :)

Mike, Rich and I had a great time at dinner, only problem was we didn't get enough shooting time out at your club (don't worry Rich and I discussed it on the drive back and we'll just add another day to the trip next year :) )

Yeah about those tents (very expensive walk through...! ) but you also have to look out for those guys selling goods out of the back of pickup trucks too!

What more could you ask for, very decent weather, seeing people that sometimes you get to see only once a year, great shooting and a few more gun cases coming home with me then when I left with.... it doesn't get better then that !

Should be 687 or 688, something like that. Not too far from your number.

Mike Koneski 06-08-2015 11:14 AM

Had a blast Sunday shooting here with the Romigs, Bishops, Freys, Dave S, George P, Darryl C and of course my shoot 'til ya drop buddy Mike Smith!! Y'all need to move closer so we can play more often!!

George M. Purtill 06-08-2015 11:20 AM

Mike- your place at Rock Mountain is spectacular. And according to my GPS its not far away. Its 3 hours 45 minutes without traffic which in the northeast is not gonna happen.

True, but his application has been red-flagged by the ATF,IRS, NSA, DU, TU, QU, RGS, Homeland Security and the Hillary Rodham Clinton Charitable Trust. It may take several months before he's actually sworn in to: "The Finest Gun Collector's Association in The World." We can only hope........:crying::crying::crying:

Just kiddin' Rich.....welcome to "THE ASYLUM!!!!!!"

In the spirit of Bruce & Caitlyn Jenner, you're now officially a
SWITCH-HITTER!!!!! :rotf::rotf:

Dean Romig 06-08-2015 01:21 PM

Hey Mike - Kathy and I really enjoyed shooting with you and we especially enjoyed your very picturesque clays course. You've worked very hard to get it to what it is today... a really wonderful and relaxing place to shoot while enjoying the company of good friends.

We hope to get back at the end of the summer.

I'd like to thank Mike and Susan for their great hospitality at the "Rock". It was truly a great ending to a great 4 day shoot. I pushed my leg to the limit this past weekend but it sure was worth it.

Mike, your club is one of the best laid out courses I've shot in a long time. If my leg was'nt so wobbly I think I could have gone out and done another 100. You give shooters every opportunity to break targets thrown at your club. As George said the "Rock" is actually 24 miles closer from my home than is Hausmann's. Three hours 45 min. and almost a straight shot after I exit I 81. God willing and if the creek don't rise I'll be there in Sept. You're all right for a dyed in the wool Fox guy Mike.:)

It was really nice to shoot with Deb and Larry, George and his two??? new Foxes and of course the guy I shot with all weekend, Mikey Smith. I wish all 9 of us could have shot together but it would have taken us until dusk. Hope to see you all in Sept.

And last but not least I'd like to thank Craig, Rick, Dave and the rest of the crew over at the B&B in Montrose. What a great bunch of guys to sit on the porch with and smoke some ceegars and consume adult beverages until way past our bedtimes. Man I can't wait until next year.

Craig Larter 06-08-2015 05:51 PM

Daryl it was a great seeing all you guys at the Rosemont. We have so much fun talking guns and smoking a few cigars. It has become a great event with great people. Thanks for the friendship. Craig

Daryl Corona 06-08-2015 05:56 PM

Trust me on this one Craig, the pleasure is all mine.:bigbye:

"even COB is a Fox guy now"
Well, I shot a round with Paul Plunkett and he was shooting a beautiful Parker
VH 20 ga ( and shot it well!). Lots of cross over here. Happy to belong to both organizations, with 5 Parkers and 5 Foxes.

Mike.Smith 06-09-2015 12:51 AM

Well, just as in past years it was well worth the 10 hours in the truck to get to PA for this event. It was great seeing everyone and having the chance to shoot with so many good friends, both at HHH and at "The Rock". It was great having the Fox and Parker tents together and it was such a close race in the Challenge. Congrats again to those who shot high scores to make the teams, especially on a very challenging course.

I hear the Grouse Woods of The UP calling to me Mike!

Dave Suponski 06-09-2015 09:40 AM

Mike, thank you so very much for hosting our group on Sunday. Rock Mountain gets better every time I visit. A real first class venue and the driven bird station at the end of the course is awesome! See ya in September. Maybe sooner......

Mike and Mike both of you better get up to Michigan this fall, we have the guns so all you have to worry about is getting up here, I can pick you guys up at just about any airport and then we hit the road to COB's cabin in the UP. Sounds like a plan to me......

Rich Anderson 06-09-2015 05:47 PM

There is an open invite to hunt Grouse at my place in the great woods of the Upper Peninsula. I just saw my gunsmith and the new blank for the FOX XE 16ga upgrade is in the works and I should have her Grouse ready this fall. Ship your hunting gear to me and board a plane the guns, shells, dogs, cigars and adult beverage's are all ready.

Mike Koneski 06-10-2015 09:09 AM

SWEET!!!! BTW, no adult beverages for me. Moxie is fine!! Just waiting on whether or not my moose and elk tags are drawn. Mike S, looks like "The Morning Show" may be taking its pursuits on the road again, my friend!!
