Mild Tremor in Philadelphia Vicinity??

Receiving scattered reports that the USGS confirmed there was a mild, 2.8 tremor that was felt through certain sections of Philadelphia this afternoon at around 2:37 pm. Thankfully, no damage or injuries reported and it appears that most all of the "shakin' going on" was in the vicinity of N. 18th St. and Windram Ave. Hmmm, that rings a distant bell?

CNN interviewed one eye witness to the event (pictured below) who was obviously in a mild state of shock and was heard mumbling the same words over and over, "Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer." No clue on that one, perhaps more news at 11? :corn:

Oh, that's all it was...

And here I thought you had a little mishap in your reloading room

It may have been Ben Franklin turning over in his grave because of the events in Baltimore.

Oh ya .....almost forgot.... The PGCA and the Fox Collectors will be sharing a tent together at the Bo Whoop this year it. So come on down!

Boy, you guys are slower on "the take" than a brown trout in 30 degree water!!

Daryl Corona 05-06-2015 02:14 PM

Got it Steve. The tremor thing threw me off track for a minute. I just figured it was the pressure building for the "Rumble in the Hollow" coming up that first weekend in June.:)

Mills Morrison 05-06-2015 04:36 PM

Did one of your members buy another Parker hammer gun?

Dave Suponski 05-06-2015 07:11 PM

Mills, It happens all the time....Slowly they a catching on the superior gun of choice...

Craig Larter 05-06-2015 07:42 PM

I am not ready to admit Parkers are superior but I do admit they are not bad for a second choice.:rotf:

Dave Suponski 05-06-2015 08:05 PM

Okay Craig, But you are developing a room full of second choices.....

Mills Morrison 05-06-2015 08:28 PM

Hammer guns have a way of multiplying. I am actually trying to get rid of one or two

Craig Larter 05-06-2015 08:38 PM

OK Dave and Mills you are warming up and ya got me, guilty as charged but I only own 6 Parkers!!!! You boys in Connecticut and Georgia know how to roast chestnuts. But ya got to admit TOOL MAN is the finest chestnut roaster in the world!! World Class----get ready for his finest at Hausmann's.

Dave Suponski 05-06-2015 09:22 PM

No problem Craig, I have time to hone my skills....:rotf:

If it makes you feel better, I am pretty sure my next major purchase will be a Fox. Getting money in place now to strike

Daryl Corona 05-07-2015 05:14 PM

I'm with you Mills, Just picked up a sweet little Fox SPE 20- all the bells and whistles. Can't wait to shoot it at Ernie's. Also found a sweet little LC Smith, 20ga. OO grade w/ejectors which will be for sale at Ernie's in June.

Craig Larter 05-07-2015 05:47 PM

I'm with both of you guys, I love em all but my taste is heavily skewed toward waterfowl guns regardless of the manufacturer. My new D #6 frame 36" 10ga hammer gun is in the same gun rack as my #2 frame DH 30" bbl gun. I get a big smile on my face ever time I look at them together, the big D makes the #2 frame look like a 410. Collecting vintage SxS's is the best regardless of manufacturer. Looking forward to seeing ya all at Ernie's.

Mills Morrison 05-07-2015 10:16 PM

The one I am after is a waterfowl gun. Stay tuned. Could happen as early as tomorrow

Mills Morrison 05-08-2015 01:02 PM

Called about it today and it sold. I am bummed:crying::crying::crying::crying:

wayne goerres 05-08-2015 08:56 PM

Nothing worst than being a day late or a dollar short.

Mills Morrison 05-08-2015 09:18 PM

Sure is. Probably not a good idea to get a great duck gun this time of year when turkey season is going out and we are 6 months away from duck season.

Steve Cambria 05-10-2015 11:03 AM

Yes Mills, but great duck guns often make formidable turkey thumpers! I wouldn't want to be that "Long Beard" who steps within 50 yards of a Super Fox!

I'm taking a wild guess that you missed out on an "HE?"

Mills Morrison 05-10-2015 01:24 PM

You got it Steve.

Mike Koneski 05-10-2015 06:21 PM

Even I am being wooed to procure a few more guns, hammer and hammerless by a maker other than Fox for those Southern events. But, they are made in NY, not CT!! Those folks love inviting me to steak dinners.

Geez, John, our Parker Brothers never ask me to tag along. I developed a complex!!

Mills Morrison 05-11-2015 07:22 AM

The Flame Steakhouse has good steaks

Mike Koneski 05-11-2015 07:33 PM
