What's In A Name
 

Well, had my hunt with Charlie and I'm on my way back home. I won't give any details, I'll save all that for the Parker Pages. I will say meeting Charlie was everything and more than I hoped it would be. That said, I need a name for the column these hunting stories are going to appear under in the PP. I just haven't come up with that "perfect name". I asked Charlie about it and he came up with a few. Then he suggested I put it out to you guys for suggestions. Dean said he wants it to include "Parker", so that's something to work with. Thank you in advance for any contributive suggestion.

The Parker Chronicles

We already have a "Parkers Afield" column or section of Parker Pages which isn't often utilized. We could continue to use that heading for these stories of hunting with Parkers with Mike being the Host/comentator/author writing each story with its own title under the chosen column heading.
Several of the suggested names for this hosted column sound fine. Maybe a few more will come in and a decision can be made soon.

How bout "Hunting With Charlie"

Take off on famous Steinbeck title and also exactly what happened. Most PP readers are familiar with and enjoy Charlie's hunting stories on the forum. They could readily identify with that title...

Mills, what is the verdict? Have you picked a name for the column?

"Parker Chronicles" will probably be the name of the quarterly column with individual stories Mike writes having their own titles.

Parker Chronicles sounds good to me. Dean is the one in charge.

Rich Anderson suggested The Parker Chronicles and I liked that. So look for it in the Parker Pages

Oops. Just saw the rest of the posts. I like the conclusion.... Parker Chronicles.

Well done.

I realize I'm late for the game but I wanted to throw another pitch.
The Parker Chronicles is good but by definition a chronicle is just historical facts written in a time line, much like an index of events. It just doesn't quite relate the intimacy of the event.

So I thought something like "Parkers and Pals" might be worth considering.
It relates well with the subject matter and is very personable. We all can relate to the camaraderie of shooting with our pals and you immediately know its a story about good times and is written from the heart.

You'll have a proper name for it when you stumble into Newfoundland :whistle:

Parker Chronicles is perfect by the way ,and thank you for taking this on ,it will no doubt be the " favorite " section of the PP
