PGCA Special Award for Richard Flanders.....

1 Attachment(s)
I'd like to announce this special award that the PGCA has arranged for Mr. Richard Flanders. The award is a special thank you for his organization and participation in the event that's come to be called the "Annual Shooting of the Shitcicle". This event has given us all much amusement and joy over the past few years. We of the PGCA feel that Mr. Flanders should be given something as a thanks from us all for the joy and fellowship he's provided in sharing with us the tales of this now famous occasion.

P.S. While I am a member of the PGCA, I have no right to give awards with it's name attached. This is what's called a joke, those of you with no sense of humor please don't read this. Whoops! Too late.....

is that a golden "throne" he is dropping something into????

:corn:

Destry L. Hoffard 01-14-2015 12:57 PM

It's a man pointing a pistol into a toilet, I thought it appropriate. I took about 15 pictures of it trying to get a good one but that's the best I could do.

That's pretty good Destry!! Perfect!!

Richard Flanders 01-14-2015 01:07 PM

Needless to say, I am honored!! You've all been temporarily spared this years event by a spell of warm weather that negated the necessity of the chore by just a few days.... stand by though; winter is not over just yet.

Destry L. Hoffard 01-14-2015 01:11 PM

I'm sure we'll all wait with bated breath......

Richard PM me your address so I can ship you this prestigious award for your personal museum.

That's great Destry, congratulations Richard.....:rotf:

Whenever it's cold as $hit I think of Richard. Bravo Destry.

Jeff Kuss 01-16-2015 11:21 PM

Just like the first robin, the shooting of the shitcicle is a sign that spring is just around the corner!

Well, it took a while to get here and for me to remember to take it out in the subzero outhouse to put it into a place of honor but it's sunny now so today was the day. I think this is a fitting place and surroundings. You all be the judge.

Destry L. Hoffard 02-14-2015 05:46 PM

Hah! Glad it finally arrived. Some of the "cures" are priceless. I like the Whiz bottle in particular.

Destry , Every time you post something it brings a smile to my face ,this one got a good laugh ! Congrats Richard ,maybe you wouldn't mind posting a previous photo so the new members could enjoy the annual sicle Shooting event we have all been privy to in the past ! :corn:

congratulations richard on the new award...and many thanks to destrey hoffard for the giving of this award....charlie

Richard Flanders 02-14-2015 07:27 PM

Stand by Russ; I'm predicting tomorrow to be a prime "cicle hunting" day... the appropriate stars and moon are properly aligned... it's time... that puppy is goin' down.

Destry: the Whiz bottle is vintage rubber cement. One little bottle to the right is all in Chinese or somesuch printing.

UPDATE: Sunday. Ok, the deed is done for another year. It was indeed a good hunting day and an easy stalk; it never saw me coming! I used black powder in the 10ga for the smoke n' flames effects, but didn't get any of either? WTH? Just a few sparks is all. That first pic should have smoke boiling out of the hole. Maybe use coarser BP next time, or maybe more powder? Oh yeah that's it, double the powder next time! Oh well, it worked...! Enjoy. See you next year... Gotta go clean the gun!

charlie cleveland 02-15-2015 04:35 PM

you are one brave soul richard....charlie

Richard Flanders 02-15-2015 04:56 PM

There's no real 'danger' Charlie, but you don't want to do it when it's too warm out... that's not pretty!

Robert Rambler 02-15-2015 05:56 PM

Nice to see that the "AWARD" found it's proper place on the back shelf. The decor in that man cave is awesome.

wayne goerres 02-15-2015 06:27 PM

I wonder if that requires a stamp or a special license.

Richard Flanders 02-16-2015 10:55 AM

I sent my picture to my neighbor and this was his reply this morning:

"Yea, I shot ours with a 44mag rifle from the back a few times, then started using a steel spud chipper."

Strange as it may seem - in the 70's my brother Jonathan leased space in the old "Lydia E. Pinkham building" in Lynn, Massachusetts for his pottery studio where he made and sold some wonderful handcrafted pottery and earthenware.

Anyone know what the buttermilk powder was for? I'll read the label tomorrow but I can't imagine it's for making buttermilk...

John Dallas 02-17-2015 08:10 AM

Richard - You can buy it today - We've got a fresh box in our cupboard. yes, it's used for baking
