Thanks Larry...:banghead:

Dean Romig 12-14-2014 10:04 PM

We'll be there for certain (wouldn't miss it).

If I had a 2015 calendar I would mark the dates... but I don't.

George M. Purtill 12-15-2014 09:54 PM

I'll be there and I'll give Edgar a ride if he needs one- if he can stand my Connecticut cigars.

Dean Romig 12-15-2014 09:57 PM

Was the tobacco cut on your own plantation on the river flats?

Up the river in Edgar's neck of the state. He is in Shade country where the wrapper is grown. I'm in Broadleaf tobacco country which is used for filler and binder, rarely good enough for wrapper.

Steve Cambria 12-16-2014 06:59 AM

Hmmmm. The 3rd Saturday in April? Why is that date ringing a distant bell?
For some reason I smell a river bottom, feel the tug of a strong current about knee-high and envision a pat of butter, figure skating in my Dutch skillet. Haven't a clue why.

Dean Romig 12-16-2014 07:44 AM

Next thing the "Tool" will be selling his guns.

*I wonder if all these excuses are to cover the fact that his shooting ability has suffered as of late*

Steve Cambria 12-16-2014 08:09 AM

Awwwwwwwww, TOUCHE, Dean-O!

Hey, if and when that ever happens, it could finally be your opportunity to
TRADE-UP! "When one door closes......" :)

Dave Suponski 12-16-2014 09:46 AM

Tool, you haven't shown up in the last four years anyway. But hope springs eternal. LOL :)

allen newell 12-23-2014 11:49 AM

I'll be there. No football distractions!

Dave Suponski 03-27-2015 06:30 PM

Folks, We are less than a month away. If you would like a t-shirt from this years shoot please let me know your size soon.

Dean Romig 03-27-2015 08:14 PM

Put me in Coach - I don't smoke.

George M. Purtill 03-27-2015 08:50 PM

No shirt for me. Thanks Dave for doing that.

scott kittredge 03-29-2015 10:47 AM

I have just informed my Foxy friend that the season actually starts THIS Saturday and so I have saved his season opener.
Actually, I also had no idea that they changed the opening date until the DEP Fish tanker unloaded about a hundred trout into the nice pool behind my office last week.
So we can enjoy Tool Man's company without the fishy smell.

Steve Cambria 04-08-2015 11:04 AM

I'm still in shock!! Leave it to The Nutmeg State to alter a century old tradition with a flick of the pen. Some dates are sacred, sewn into the very fabric of our lives. The third Saturday in April, like The Glorious Twelfth, is a prime example. I wonder how many thousands of CT anglers will never catch this one???:cuss:

PS---Thanks Charlie Purple, I would have missed my first Opening Day in 44 years!

Actually it WAS Charlie Purple who spotted the man with a net full of squirming brookies through my office window. He watches the brook like an Osprey.

Aw NUTS!! Who really is "Tool Man" without that fishy smell?

john pulis 04-15-2015 06:12 PM

If it does not rain be on the look out for for two Long Islanders. We will catch an early ferry out of Port Jeff and should get there around 10, i hope.

scott kittredge 04-15-2015 06:55 PM

Bill Janelle and I should be there by 8:30 :)

Dean Romig 04-15-2015 08:16 PM

John, catch up to us on the course, we start at 9... We'll be looking for you. Stop at the office first and get a counter.

Dave Suponski 04-15-2015 09:24 PM

John, We would love to have you guy's! As of right now 20% chance of showers after 1 pm but mostly sunny and 68 degrees. We generally don't actually get out on the course till about 9:30 anyway. Game-on boy's!

Frank Cronin 04-15-2015 10:12 PM

Looking forward to it! I'll be there with Pete Davis.

Dean Romig 04-15-2015 10:24 PM

Hey Frank - you bringing "Ol' Thunder Clap"??

Frank Cronin 04-15-2015 11:34 PM

Absolutely I will be bringing her Dean. No black though.

Dean Romig 04-16-2015 01:36 AM

Awwww....

Nicholas Sarro 04-16-2015 04:11 PM

Hi everybody. I'm the Long Islander traveling with John Pulis. Other than the 2 test shots I fired that John gave me last year, this will be my first event with this gun.

Dave Suponski 04-16-2015 04:22 PM

Looking forward to meeting you Sir!

Dean Romig 04-16-2015 04:24 PM

Nicholas - you're going to have a blast (pun intended). We have a lot of fun shooting this event (?) every year. It is a springtime social event - scores are inconsequential... you can keep score if you want to but nobody cares. If Suponski goes into a slump I'm gonna razz his azz BIG time. It's all for fun!!

Nicholas Sarro 04-16-2015 04:42 PM

Thanks Autumn Daze. I just paid my $40.00 so now I'm a PGCA member. What does the _ _ CA stand for?

Steve Cambria 04-16-2015 05:25 PM

Nick,

Rest easy. I've seen most of this Parker crowd shoot. (Sadly, it often resembles a Greek tragedy.) I'll guarantee you plenty of laughs. You'll have a ball!! :p

Sincerely,

Ansley H.

P.S.--I'll be the one in the Addieville kitchen, SLINGING HASH!!!

P.S.-2 "PG"= Professional Golfers

George M. Purtill 04-16-2015 05:34 PM

Fox in the Parker House

Isn't there a provision in the secret Forum rules whereby JD can be petitioned by 3 PGCA Life Members to remove Tool Man from being able to post except "thank you" posts?

Dean Romig 04-16-2015 05:49 PM

Mr. "Tool" Sir.... will there be any other fox shooters in attendance at Addieville on Saturday, or will you be the only one shooting in your squad?

I imagine you'll be shooting a 12 bore for the advantage of more pellets tossed in the general direction of the targets...?

He will be slinging something, that's for sure!

Dean Romig 04-16-2015 06:07 PM

Tool Man is always slinging something...

Chuck Bishop 04-16-2015 07:39 PM

I hope your weather is great. Maybe next year.

You haven't even met the poor fella and you're calling him 'Sir' ? If that ain't blowing smoke up his touch hole, I don't know what is.

Oh, wait, I remember you called me 'Sir' before we met. You are defective!

Dave Suponski 04-16-2015 08:35 PM

Very true Egger I indeed did call you Sir when we first met. Now I use other adjectives when describing you....
