James Julia Catalog
The nice people at James D. Julia Auctions sent me a beautiful catalog for the upcoming March 15-16 auction. Unfortunately the demolition experts at the U.S. Postal service pretty well destroyed it before I received it. Little wonder why these folks at the Postal Service are billions of dollars in the crapper and can't figure out how to correct it. The nice folks at Julia auctions paid well to have these catalogs made and paid you boneheads at the P.O.$4.75 for priority mail and for the second time in a row you destroyed the catalog :banghead:

Mine made it to the Washington/Idaho border in perfect shape.
|
I hope mine is lost in the mail until the auction is over. I'm in enough trouble without seeing this catalog. The day after the auction would be a wonderful time to receive my catalog.
|
Not only did mine arrive in pristine condition 3 days after it was mailed, I got a very nice phone call from Wes Dillon the day after I received it, imploring me to load up my Trooper with a band of bidders and head north for the big sale. We spoke for some time, but after it was over, I still couldn't decide whether to go for Bo Whoop, the Grade 6 M11 Remington, or the .410 Diana Grade Superposed. Decisions, decisions......................
|
I was surprised that I got a catalog, but I did not get a personal phone call, wonder why......:rotf:

Eric - lines were probably still down in the aftermath of the blizzard;
Bill - borrow mine and let's go! - I'm dogsitting while my wife's in FL that week, but I know we can get 3 more dog crates in your new ride - one of us can walk them out in the parking lot while the other one stays inside and bids - like the lotto, ya gotta play to win! |
Julia Auction
There is a special rate at the Waterville Holiday Inn if you mention the auction. I am going over Sunday afternoon for the preview; hope to see some of you there.

No Kevin I don't think that is the reason...........:mad: |
Is the Floor Plate Picture indicative of having reversed the left and right floor plate screws?

Noted the floor plate and hinge pin screws are out of correct registration. I'm wondering on the floor plate if the screws were removed and then re-installed on the opposite side if they would then be in correct registration. I have learned here that there is a left and a right screw each with a specific mark indicating its correct side. These specific floor plate screws do look like they have been turned flush to the plate and they are way off. Still learning.

Should be an interesting auction indeed.
I'm in agreement with George Lander re: The AH Fox "Bo Whoop"--My "WAG" is it will gavel down at a minimum of $350,000-- and apparently Julia's has verified that they have clean and clear title to sell it for the apparently yet un-named consignee. Wonder if it will go to a member of the AH Fox Collectors- we'll soon know!!:bigbye:
