Prayer Request
Please put my bride, Cissy, in your thoughts and prayers for a hip replacement early Friday morning. We have been through one of these before and it did not go well. We have made it through a brain tumor as well. The only reason she is still here is from prayer.
Bless you, Harry |
Harry,
My wife, Bev and I will keep your wife, Cissy in our prayers. A friend of ours recently had a hip replaced and she told me it was hard to come back but she did it, through a lot of therapy. Please keep us updated on her progress, OK? God bless you both there. Sincerely, Wes |
Harry, Your wife will be on the top of my list this night. Good Luck to you both tomorrow.

Harry, my mother in law has had two hip replacements on her left side and three on her right and just had a refurbishment to one that was acting up. She's 87 and getting around pretty well now. Healing has a great deal to do with spirit and attitude so be strong for her - nonetheless, I'll be praying that she'll be dancing with you real soon.
My Best, Dean |
Consider it done, Harry... Cissy, you and your family are in my and Jen's thoughts and prayers...

Harry I have had my 'bride' for 33 yrs in July. Our prayers for both you and Cissi.

Harry, Megan and I will say a pray for you and yours, they say god has a soft spot for parker people. well somebody told me that. good luck and god bless you. Gary
|
Harry- we have you and your family at the top of the list. I sure hope Gary C. is right in that we Parker people have a soft spot in hearts from up above!
|
Thanks for all your thoughts and prayer. We are hanging out while they sharpen their knives....
Harry |
Amen and Amen to all the above--
Harry, best wishes for Cissy's having a speedy recovery from the replacement surgery. Your bride is blessed, many guys I know would not even mention something like this on an Internet site. Just another indicator of the care and concern we all share with our brother Parker-ists both here, and with those we can sometimes hunt, shoot or just gather with socially.
FYI- one of my favorite shooting companions is 81- retired from Real estate (somewhat) and has had both hip and knee replacement surgeries done over past 10 years- and he is out for birds with the best of them, and a fine wingshot to boot (M21- not a Parker- yet!) We are blessed to have modern medicine and surgical techniques today, but anytime a loved one goes "under the scapel" there is always concern. I'll keep you both in thoughts and prayers- |
Good luck to your wife Harry. May God watch over her every day, especially this morning.

Harry, You both are in our thoughts and prayers. The hip folks that I know all agree that the regiment of therapy is critical. Make the best of every situation. Things will work out.

Harry
You will be on Lois and my list . David |
Cissy (and you) will be in my thoughts and prayers. May all go well. My wife, Elma, has both hips replaced, so we know what you are going thru. Charlie Price

Harry;
Anita and I will have a word or two with the supreme leader on your wife's behalf. Good luck with the surgery. PTG Roger |
I am a big believer in prayer and Thanks to all of you who have had Cissy in your thoughts and prayers. She is out of recovery and in her room. The Doc is going to have her on her feet this afternoon. This is so much better than her last hip replacement where she could not bear weight on that leg for six weeks. We are encouraged that she will be off the walker within the week.

Terrific!!
|
Harry that's great, just saw this thread and I am glad all is going well. Just tell her my Grandmother had a hip replacement when she was 92 and she complained about being a little stiff for the next 17 years.... and got along fine

Thoughts & Prayers
Harry:
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife. |
Great news Harry! I wish the best for you both!
|
Finished prayer, In Jesus name, Amen!

Harry, good luck and the best to you and Cissy.
|
Harry....hope all is well! Stay in touch when you can.

Harry: I'm happy to hear that Cissy is progressing well. My great aunt, who helped raise me, was Dr. Austin Moore's head nurse here in Columbia, SC. Dr. Moore pioneered the artificial hip replacement which I believe is still called the "Moore Hip Prosthesis". One of his early patients at the Moore Clinic, here in Columbia, was Arthur Godfrey who I was allowed to visit & get his autograph.
Best Regards, George |
Cissy has low blood pressure and lost 500 ml of blood in the opperation. Poor thing did not have the blood pressure to get pain meds until this morning. She has been a real trooper and her walk this morning was so fast it caught her socks on fire.....
This is going so much better than last time and again I want to thank everyone for their continued thoughts and prayers. Warmest, Harry |
No one likes to see loved one's in pain and distress.Love and encouragement will get your wife and you thru this. Just keep that new Parker you bought for her just one step out of her reach and she will get it, eventually . God Bless both of you, we will keep you in our prayers and thoughts.jvb
