What on earth did they do to this Trojan?
 

Ok, I realized it was redone, but was looking at it anyway. It is a V grade not a trojan, but it looks hideous

Anyway, the receiver looks wierd color either silver or blue depending on the lighting of the camera I guess, and it has at least one dent in the barrel, but what on earth did they do to the bottom of the floor plate and under the lever and who needs to be locked up in an asylum for thinking that would look good?

That is sad, I think that is someones idea of engine turning like on a rifle bolt. It sure doesn't belong on a Parker.

There was an LC Smith on there for a while that looked "restored" by the same guy. Looked like a good deal, until you pulled up the photos.

High grade Parkers have certain parts that are factory damascened or engine turned. The purpose is for appearance and to create a surface that will hold an oil film .

There have been amateur gunsmithing articles about how one can do engine turning using a hand held Dremel tool with a polishing cup and abrasive compound. That is what this unfortunate V had done to it. Its hard to tell the depth of the swirls, they can possibly be taken out and the proper Parker look salvaged.

You gotta love the "polished nickel" finish on the receiver!

Lower the buy it now to $399 and dip it in camouflage like a benelli shotgun, then you got a great duck gun

For $100 it would make a good blank canvas for an upgrade.

That is so sad. What's worse, if my eyes aren't deceiving me, there is a "3" on the rear lug. Probably not alot of 3 frame 12ga running around out there.

Yeah that is how I originally found it, looking for 3 frame 12s....not that I have any money currently but still.

If you look closer there is a 2 on the lug making it a size 2 frame. The other mark is an 8 or 00. I once saw a 16ga with the same mark. It must be some kind of inspectors mark.
