Shot our state Ducks Unlimited Shoot today. 100 targets sporting on what I thought was a pretty challenging course. Out of 90 shooters there were exactly 2 SxS's me and another fellow shooting a Smith gun all the rest were over/unders and gas guns. High score was an 83. I managed a 60. Over all a fun day. I shot my GHE 30" 16 gauge.

Every time I turn around you're shooting better and better Dave. In the last couple of years you've improved more than anyone else I know. I know you shoot every weekend and that must be key to successful clays shooting. I sincerely hope you clean my clock in VT this fall!!

By the way... Congratulations!

Thanks guy's.... It was a fun day indeed. Our score keeper asked me "what year was that gun made"? When I told him 1915 he said.."and your still shooting it"? :) I told him" ya I bought it new and can't seem to stop using it".....:rotf:

Yes, you could have bought it new!

Dave Suponski 09-07-2014 10:09 AM

Got that right Scotti! But remember us "Old Guys" are awesome!

Steve Cambria 09-07-2014 11:14 AM

C'mon "OP"...fess-up, you really shot a 50. They must have given you a 10-bird handicap for shouldering that monstrous horrendum??

Well at least it was a cool, comfortable day......:rotf:

CONGRATS to you and YES, I'm jealous!! Was that up at The Fin F&F in Chaplin, by any chance??

Dave Suponski 09-07-2014 03:57 PM

Ya Steve sure was. The weather was a balmy 86 degrees with about 70 percent humidity. I was soaked by the time it was said and done... No they don't do gauge handicaps you shoot what ya brought.

Greg Baehman 09-07-2014 04:09 PM

With crackerjack shooting like that the next thing we'll hear is that he's turning pro.

Dave Suponski 09-07-2014 05:12 PM

Ha Ha.....No fears there Greg.....:rotf:

Congrats . If it was not you someone was wearing your vest a Wallingford Rod and Gun Club last month . If you shoot there this coming Sun. I will be sure to say hello if I spot you .I can't wait to shoot my newly acquired 12ga PH .

Dave Suponski 09-07-2014 06:54 PM

That was me Jeff. I think they are shooting next weekend. Please make yourself known and maybe we can shoot together.

Jeff Higgins 09-07-2014 07:01 PM

Will do. I will be the fat bearded guy cradling his Parker like a newborn wearing a 16ga Society hat.

Dave Suponski 09-07-2014 07:06 PM

Okay I'll look for ya.
