Yea, I know it is not Friday yet, but just got my case from the dealer and decided to take a photo or two. For some reason or other a gun just looks good in a nice case, Gary
Beautiful!!
Wow. Everything about the gun and case…WOW!
Gary, that gun would look good in a cardboard box. Beautiful gun.
I agree with daryl in that that gun would look good in anything. is the case a Huey? Are you a Turnip farmer??:whistle:
Rich, The case is a Galazan Oak and Leather,Made pretty well and comes with zipper cloth or canvas cover, as far as the farming Asparagus! gary
Gary, the Galazan case is an easier project than most of the case restorations we have gone through. I may try one. I think my three barrel case for my GHE 16 is a Galazan case, but not oak and leather. My little asparagus patch weighed in at over 75 pounds this year. How did yours do?
Bill, Not very good I was gone in the early spring and did not tend the two fifty foot rows we have, I have the purple and the green, purple did the best this year, Gary
Very nice!
My two rows are 36 feet long, but 20 years old with more than a few crowns in the first row died off. 75 pounds isn't bad for a long time plant. Asparagus was $4.69 a pound at the Amish Market today.
Bill do you have problems with critters eating yours? Gary
For the first time in 40 years, deer ate 18 asparagus tips, apparently didn't like it and didn't come back. No fence around the asparagus. I fenced my main garden for the first time this year. Last year, deer terminated a few tomato plants and all of the peppers. The four foot fence with a dozen softball sized stocking feet of human hair hung from the fence has kept the deer at bay so far. Unsprayed apples are starting to fall from the trees, so that should keep the deer away from the vegetables.
We have somebody new in the neighborhood to take care of the Deer. Tuesday forenoon, about 10:45 am, saw a Cougar walk across John's yard across the street!!
