Research Letter Form Update

The Research Letter form has been updated to allow you to fill in the information prior to printing it out. You'd be surprised at the atrocious handwriting of some of our members:banghead:

Thanks to Tom Coulter for editing the form and John Dunkle for posting it.

Stay tuned, more changes to Research Letters are coming in the future!

!

HEY

I represent that remark

edgarspencer 04-22-2014 10:48 PM

I have one of those atrociously filled out forms right here, so I tried to do a new one but, it didn't work. Can't click on the fields.

Brian Dudley 04-22-2014 10:53 PM

Edgar, that is because your computer is an oak box with cloth coated wires coming out of it.

edgarspencer 04-23-2014 07:34 AM

It's only pine, Brian. You're mistaking me for one of those rich guys. What's wrong with cotton covered wire? All those vacuum tubes help to keep me warm.

edgarspencer 04-23-2014 08:40 AM

OK, I figured it out. Chuck failed to mention you need to download the form first, then fill it in and print it. Pretty slick. Now we have to work on sending the completed form electronically, and paying for the letter with Paypal.
Now, where did I put those stamps?

Brian Dudley 04-23-2014 09:27 AM

Or secure credit card form right on the website. Along with paypal.

Chuck Bishop 04-23-2014 10:25 AM

Edgar, do I have to hold your hand each step of the way:banghead:

I make no apologies for my ancestry. Scots are not fast learners. I only just figured out why I don't hear a bell when I get to the end of a line while typing on this thing.

Russ Jackson 04-23-2014 11:26 AM

Edgar ,I'm glad you ask ,I just happen to have a new "" Little Gun "" here and tried just copying it a few days ago and could get only half the form to print ,wrote the rest of it out by hand and it looked so bad I never sent it :banghead: ,Just printed one and filled it out , VERY NICE !!! You fellas involved in setting up our site do a GREAT JOB !!!!!! Thank You All ! Russ

Brian ,I like this idea if it could be made to work without too much trouble !

edgarspencer 04-23-2014 11:31 AM

Russ, You don't just toss out that you have a new "little gun" and then walk away. Do we have to drag it out of you?

Russ Jackson 04-23-2014 11:52 AM

Hi Edgar , No ,I won't make you drag too hard ,I picked myself up a nice little refinished ,VH 28 Ga. a few days ago with 26" Barrels choked ,IC and IM and weighing in at 5Lb ,12 Oz on a OO Frame ,nothing fancy just a nice carry gun ! I took a box of RST 28's out to the lower patio and my wife loaded the foot release thrower for me and pulled the release and I broke 23 out of 25 the first run with the old Girl so She's a keeper ,My new Woodcock Gun ! The new case colors are a bit harsh but I think I may take a little Flitz to her or just carry her out in the weather a bit and wear them down !:rotf: Best ; Russ

charlie cleveland 04-23-2014 11:58 PM

sounds like you got a keeper there russ..and 23 outa 25 is some shootin in my book.. charlie

Russ Jackson 04-24-2014 09:56 AM

Thanks Charlie , The 23 out of 25 is alright but remember , shot from a Foot Release Thrower ,quite a bit different than standing on the line I feel sure although ,I never tried real Clays Shooting ! Russ

wayne goerres 04-24-2014 08:20 PM

Russ you must have one of those new fangled machines. I am still throwing Dr Pepper cans in the air by hand.

Russ Jackson 04-25-2014 10:34 AM

Wayne ,You and Charlie :rotf: ,Us Boys in S.W. PA. are moving up in the World :rotf:!!!!!!!

wayne goerres 04-25-2014 11:26 PM

We typically get 24 out of 25 with cans. Its hard to throw empty cans very high in the air.

charlie cleveland 04-26-2014 12:28 AM

them dr pepper cans are hard to hit with a 40 mile an hour wind a blowing.wayne my best is 23 outa 25 cans think the reason i missed the last 2 cans were somebody thru me a curve they throwed up 2 of those dipin dartin pepsi cola cans...charlie

wayne goerres 04-26-2014 07:22 AM

Hell I have to toss them up with my left hand and shoot with my right. It sometimes works better if you shove a rock through the hole.

Pete Lester 04-26-2014 10:07 PM

I can't stand the taste of Dr. Pepper. I throw them up in the air full, less wind drift that way and it's the only thing a can of Dr. Pepper is good for. :)

wayne goerres 04-27-2014 06:41 PM

Sounds like a Coke drinker. D P must be an acquired taste.

Eldon Goddard 04-27-2014 08:01 PM

That sounds like an easy way to send in a research letter.

Chuck Bishop 04-27-2014 09:17 PM

Boy did this thread go to hell in a hand basket:cuss:

Eldon Goddard 04-27-2014 10:07 PM

What are you talking about Chuck?

charlie cleveland 04-28-2014 07:05 PM

i know now not to offer pete a dr pepper...charlie
