Reloading Powder & Supplies in stock now

I will post any powder I think many of us may use when I see it available in this thread. Should you see some for sale please feel free to contribute here.

IMR PB, small bottles, limit 2 per customer became available a couple of horus ago at Sportsmans Warehouse.

Thank you sir. I do appreciate your efforts; and I agree there seem to be other factors at play on powder availability besides hoarding. Just a reminder to readers, these small bottles of PB are actually 14 ounces net, not one pound. Also 14 ounces for some of the other Hodgdon/IMR powders many of us use, to include SR 7625 and 700-X. However SR 4756 is a full 16 ounces.

Rich Anderson 02-09-2014 08:31 AM

My local store has/had 3 1 lb cans of PB and I have 3 that I bought because it was there. If you need some PB perhaps I can help.

Rick Losey 02-09-2014 09:20 AM

what is the cost for an individual to ship a few of the bottles? i know there is a hazmat fee of some sort, and sometimes commercial operations pay a different rate.

Yes, there are. And I dare say we all know what the root of those factors is. But such discussion is banned here.

Still, I will continue to buy whatever powders I need whenever I see them. And worry about my immediate needs at some future point. In fact I just "hoarded" a 1 lb. bottle of Tite Wad for $18. It's now part of my own little gunpowder IRA.

paul stafford jr 02-09-2014 06:58 PM

my son and I were at our club today and we just got in a small shipment of all the popular powders, so check your local suppliers, what is currently available wont be around long , we also received a good supplie of Winchester and cheddite 209 primers , but no federals

Pete Lester 02-10-2014 05:12 AM

Sportsmans Warehouse changed the status to available for the small bottle of 700-x around 4AM this morning.

It's not if you buy them shortly after they are made available, the 8lb jug of PB was sold out about 20 minutes after I posted it was available.

I also checked the WST powder at Cabelas and it also sold out some time today after being made available.

Pete Lester 02-12-2014 05:52 AM

Sportsmans Warehouse, small bottles of 700-X and PB, status available a couple of minutes ago.

Cabelas in Wheeling had nothing for shotgun powders this weekend. Stopped at a local gun store today and they had several 8 lb'ers of 20/28 ( I bought one), Herco, and Clay Dot. If need be, I can pick up some if in dire need and bring it with me to one of the sxs shoots. Hoping to make it to the Southern.

Pete Lester 02-15-2014 05:12 AM

Sportsmans Warehouse put the small bottle of 700-x as "In-Stock" about an hour ago.

http://www.sportsmanswarehouse.com/s...55963_b60083d7

The current trend seems to be no powders available by Alliant and usually small bottles of IMR powders on a intermittent basis.

Update 6:12AM: One hour later status changed to out of stock.

Pete Lester 02-18-2014 10:49 AM

I have seen nothing the last couple of days. The small bottles of 700-x were just made available by Natchez in the last half hour.

George Lang 02-18-2014 11:51 AM

Right now Ballistic products is listing 700-x in 14 oz cans.

Paul Harm 02-19-2014 08:04 AM

Our supplier, Dawsons, is out of any of the Dot or Clays powers for the first time. We ordered a lot of 700X in the 8# jugs. They also had PB, 7625, 800X, and 4756. Guess everyone will be shooting the old stand-by - 700X for a while.

If it is Dawsons in Ohio they are a wholesaler and they do not mail or ship reloading supplies. It's great if you live close enough to pick stuff up but for most of us they can't be of help. It does appear to me the Alliant powders have dried more so than the other powders you listed. It does seem to follow a trend that if you can find them it is usually in the small bottle.

Rich Anderson 02-19-2014 05:07 PM

My local sporting goods store got in powder, mostly rifle powders in 4 & 8lb containers BUT there is a lot of PB in 1lb cans.

Mark Ouellette 02-19-2014 05:52 PM

Dawson's is sending to me via Paul's club order 24 pounds of PB and 7625. Today I them about Clays and was informed no more until summer. They offered me instead more 8 pounders of what I ordered!

Also, I was in a shop in Port Huron Michigan and noticed 8 pound bottles of 700X and 14 ounce bottles of PB. The shop had other powders on hand also.

There is powder available but perhaps not what one wants.

http://www.sportsmanswarehouse.com/s...6452/cat100151

Powder Valley had listed some 8lb jugs of Red Dot, Promo and Unique in the last two days, each time they were sold out in less than 20 minutes.

Harold Lee Pickens 03-15-2014 07:43 PM

stopped at Buckeye Outdoors near Columbus, Oh today(740-928-3474)
They had 8 lb jugs of PB for $168, I believe. Also had 1 lb bottles of PB. No 7625 but they do have a sister store, Vance Supply. They also had International 1 lb bottles( I bought a couple @ $18)
don't know whether they ship or not. FYI

Pete Lester 03-24-2014 09:55 AM

If you are looking for a Hodgdon powder you might want to keep your eye on the Powder Valley Website, they posted the following on Facebook tonight.

"Well. Keep you're fingers crossed that Hodgdon treats us well tomorrow. We have a shipment due."

http://powdervalleyinc.com/

Pete Lester 03-26-2014 10:05 AM

Even the large retailers are expressing disappointment, no Hodgdon powders at Powder Valley today as they were expecting. This was just posted to their Facebook page.

Powder Valley

"Talk about a busted bubble. Nothing of interest on the Hodgdon Powder shipment unless you are in need of IMR4064. A couple of other small items including the CFE Pistol. Website will be updated in 5 minutes."

Pete Lester 04-09-2014 05:07 AM

First shotgun powder type I have seen available on-line in some time. 1lb bottles of 800-X at Sportsmans Warehouse.

http://www.sportsmanswarehouse.com/s...6450/cat100151

Pete Lester 05-05-2014 05:10 AM

Sportsmans Warehouse is showing 1lb cans, 4lb and 8lb jugs of Red Dot as "In-Stock" this morning.

http://www.sportsmanswarehouse.com/s...2687/cat100151

Well that lasted all of 10 minutes for the 4 and 8's.

Bruce Parham 06-16-2014 01:46 PM

As of 10:40 am PDT, Ballistic Products has 700-X in stock at $148.99 for 8 lbs. A bit high when you add HAZMAT and shipping but if you really need it...
