I am in the process of adding "collector pictures" to the Parker Grades page found off the PGCA home page. John started by adding pictures of an A1S and pictures of a AAH have been added since.

I have seen some great pictures posted that would work well there and I wonder if the person that owns them would be willing to allow these (or new) pictures to be added. Would you make them available to me for use on our web site?

If you wouldn't mind, please create an Album on this forum with the pictures I can use and let me know the name of the album so that I can identify them.

Pictures of the receiver sides, top and bottom; the forend, grip checkering and butt would be great too. I am in need of AH, BH, CH, DH, GH, PH, VH and Trojan.

John Dunkle 01-04-2010 05:22 PM

Hi Robin!

I'll give it a try for you... I've got a few of various grades I can add over the next few days, OK?.. Also, do you want various gauges and frame sizes of the same grade?

Our collective thanks for pulling this together - it should be a terrific addition!!

John

Robin Lewis 01-04-2010 06:02 PM

Thanks John.

I think following what you did is what we want. To show the grade in picture form in an effort to enhance the original Parker paper description so someone who hasn't seen many Parkers can appreciate the variety. One ga. should do it and I don't think stock or forend type matters much, although a mix of splinter or beaver tail forends and straight or pistol grip would be nice.

I've posted these D-grade close-ups before:

John Dunkle 01-04-2010 07:40 PM

Hey Guys!

Those are outstanding - and just what I think Robin needs.. As well - can you add them to an Album of yours (Create your own album by clicking here...) The reason is that the Album software will create "thumbnails" for Robin.... Also - the more pictures of the same gun you have would be great - like, Dave - if you can add both sides and the bottom plate as well to an album - that would be great!!

Also - Robin - please feel free to use these for an AAHE....

John

Dave......????

I know you took the Evelyn Woods Speed Reading Course.... BUT.....

I was talking about putting them in an Album you create for them (by clicking here.... and above - or in your userCP or...) - as that will create the THUMBNAILS for Robin for that page.. ;) :D

AND OH - wait until you get my bill for that picture... It'll be the same I charge for all my pics..??

Best to you Dave - and thanks for all you do!

Hey John, great job on Daves avatar. The first time he actually puts his head on the stock and you manage to get a picture. What are the odds.:duck:

Mr. Frey sir...We will discuss this at a later date....

Robin Lewis 01-04-2010 08:55 PM

I added your pictures, starting to look good. I wish I had some of those wonderful CH's I saw a week or so ago! Still empty on CH, DH, PH and SBT's.

I know, I have a set of SC pictures but I need to create a place for them.

The hammer gun section is a random collection but it shows some range of style?

Thanks guys!

John Dunkle 01-04-2010 08:58 PM

Hi Robin..!

I'll give you a starting point for a DH in a bit, OK??? As for that Suponski fellow, and having him read directions..? Well - I think Larry had a valid point...

;)

JD

Dave Suponski 01-04-2010 09:32 PM

At the risk of self incrimination I think Larry's right....:banghead: But don't tell him OK?

Dean Romig 01-04-2010 11:15 PM

Hey Robin!

Can you post back with other grades/pics you may need?? The page looks awesome!!

Thanks,

John

Robin Lewis 01-05-2010 10:18 PM

Thanks John,

This is going along great, in fact I have started to redesign the "Parker Grades" page to allow much more space and information than we started with. I have more pictures than are linked in now and will put up more in the next day or so.

I could use more good Trojan, PH, VH, DH and AH pictures.

I need SC, SB, SA, SAA, SA1 and grade 9 photo's if anyone has any that are not copyrighted.

I don't have any backaction guns at all and need more grades 0 - 7 top lever hammer guns and 0 - 6 lifter guns. $$ Grade too.

There is a good hammer gun thread going with good pictures that I could pull from if that is OK? I "assume" because they were posted already I can copy them into another page on this board but if the posters of the pictures on that thread could give me an OK I would feel better about doing that.

Keep them coming!

Dave Suponski 01-05-2010 10:26 PM

Robin,I posted some photo's of my SC.

Robin Lewis 01-05-2010 10:27 PM

Yep, I have them but I could use more. I think there was only 2, maybe 3 pictures.

Robin Lewis 01-13-2010 12:22 PM

I want to thank all of you who have given me pictures to use in our "Parker Grades" web page:bowdown:.

If you haven't noticed, I have changed the layout of the page to include more grades, hammer guns and Single Barrel Trap.

Most grades and types are represented but I do have a few that are devoid of pictures. If you have pictures that you would like to share of Grade 0 Top lever Hammer guns; SB, SA, SAA, SA1 Single Barrel Trap; any Backaction hammer guns or any Dollar grade guns (especially lower grades) we could use them to help fill in the missing spaces.

Just email pictures to me at rwvl1947@gmail.com and I'll try to use them. But, in the email text be sure to tell me what grade they are and any unusual points of interest.

Thanks!

Robin Lewis 01-19-2010 05:12 PM

If you have not looked at the Parker Grades page(s) I think it is worth a look. I am trying to get a picture collection of parkers for use by anyone not familiar with the grades and types of guns Parker produced.

Things are coming along great but the flow of pictures has slowed. I could still use help and need more pictures particularly for:
  • All grades of Single Barrel Trap (SBT)
  • VH
  • A grade lifter and top lever hammers
  • B top lever hammer
  • DH
  • Grade 1 lifter and hammerless
  • Grade 0 top lever hammer
  • Trojan
  • Low grades in the $$ Dollar grade guns.
  • T-latch and back action
Any and all other photo's would be appreciated too.
