It's after 9 a.m. so I think they'd be starting on the bourbon about now.

Oh Dean....

Of note might be the number of Parkers in this auction that have been restored & or upgraded.. I, for one, prefer those in original condition no matter what that may be.

Best Regards, George

I stopped by Julias to see Josh on friday, I was able to examine all the Parkers at length, Needless to say there is something in this auction for everyone, original guns upgrades, reproductions, and restored pieces, I thought the 20 ga A-1 was awesome! also the duck club gun which is a piece of history, I especially liked the grade 2 hammer gun, naturally, It is as near new as I have seen, Had a very enjoyable day! Unfortunately, no DT BHE's Kenny.

You can check out all the Parkers in the upcoming Julia October auction here: (you'll have to scroll all the way down to near the bottom).

The estimates seem pretty generous. Good for sellers and those owning nice Parkers. I'm not sure if the prices are bad for buyers. They may still be good deals in the long run.

Does anyone think the AH is over-priced?

Any Parker 8 gauges? I see that Lefever 8 gauge which is amazing.

How do you order a catalog?

Mills The catalogue is on line at www.jamesdjulia.com but if you call them soon they might send you a complimentary printed one. There are three catalogues in this auction & there may be more Parkers in #2 & #3 which have not yet arrived. I would call Julia's at (207) 453-7125. It's been my experience that if you bid/buy with them once they will send you catalogues forever. The same is true of Rock Island & Heritage. You can also pay for Julia's catalogue at $38.40 each. Two per year.

Thanks George. I will try that.

Mills: If you pull up Julia's site it looks like all you have to do is click the header at the top to get a free catalogue.

Best Regards, George

Mills Morrison 09-16-2013 09:56 AM

Thanks George. It is "free" with $31 shipping which is just fine with me. I just ordered mine.

Mills: You're welcome. Just bid on something with them & see if they don't keep sending catalogues to you.

Bidding can be dangerous. A good kind of dangerous though.
