Parker Fowlers?

Appears to be a heavy frame with a Monte Carlo stock and Jostam Anti-Flinch?

The top gun seems to be a rare Monte Carlo stocked Parker. I wonder if anything is said of the cover inside the magazine? This is one to add to our Parker covers collection. The second image is our old PGCA poster, the name escapes me. I remember the gun to be a steel barrel ten gauge, but I don't know the grade, probably a P.

Bob Roberts would know the old bayman's name. Bob's Dad took the original photos for advertising various brands of ammo and/or guns.
Look in All Albums and on page 4 or 5 see HARco Images submitted by Bob Roberts.

Yup, 1930 is too late for an early Fox with the Parker-style recessed hinge pin.

Thanks Dean- I added Bob's pic to the first post

I believe his name is Mike Stackhouse.

I believe the gentleman in the photo is Mike Stack, some of the photos of him were used in Remington advertising. This one was for sure, but in the artwork the gun was changed to a Model 11 autoloader.

Yup, Mike Stackhouse for sure John.

That's it, I was having a brain cramp apparently.

Mike Stackhouse Photo

Bob Roberts sent us that photo, made by his father. We used it on a PP cover, and also on the PGCA calendar. The Robertstock photo was very sharp, and I compared the silhouette with a 32 inch PH two frame. It agrees well but one cannot determine if it is a ten or twelve.

Best Austin

The Parker in question is being held by Mike Stackhouse and it is a 12ga.

That photo of "Old Mike" got around. Here he is with Miller High Life, Peters ammunition, and finally with a Savage-era Fox-Sterlingworth!

Wow! I had no idea beyond the Remington ad.....
