GHE 28ga Ser # 241468
 

I am looking at a DHE 28ga that has a 30" vent rib barrel from a GHE 28ga # 241468.
Does anyone have 241468? it is listed as a multi barrel gun in the serial # book.:bowdown:

Yes!! The barrels belong back with that gun. I hope to end up with the DHE with the barrels on it, but putting them back together would be best.

I wonder what ever happened to the original barrels from the DHE, and what befell the GHE that all was left were the barrels? A Parker mystery.

Dave, what is the latest on this gun, the barrels, and whatever. Did you buy the DHE? What exactly do you have? Thanks.

David, what do the numbers look like on the gun and the barrels? Is there a "1" or a "2" on either the barrels or the forend? Is the barrel rib flat? Is the receiver flat? Do they match? If they match, at this late serial number range, the gun may have all original parts. What is the serial number of the DHE? Did you buy it?

I did not buy the DHE 28ga, not yet anyways. I hope too see it again this fall at the Fall Southern at Backwoods.

Well Dave Dwyer, what happened to the gun you were looking at? I posted another thread asking about #241,468, but got no replies. I know Larry Baer sold all or part of the gun a while back, but have heard nothing since. Larry, what is the serial number of your 28?

Dave, what is the serial number of the back end of the gun with the 241,468 barrels? What is the number stamp on the barrels and forend? I think the Larry Baer forend was #1. It was a beavertail and nobody's GHE. I would like to see a copy of that IBM card.

Dave, what is the latest on the #241,468? Did you get to see it at the Fall Southern? I have seen the "missing" forend for this gun and it doesn't look like a GHE or a DHE. It looks more like a BHE or higher. The listing of the gun as a GHE in the serialization book may be a red herring.

I once owned 241300--DHE --28 bore---2 barrel set ---26"VR skeet in & out and 28"VR Mod & Full ---both with beaver tail FE , Parker select trigger, and featured in the Parker Story owned at the time of publication by Paul Gerry. Later consigned to Julia's by Paul when he sold his collection. The gun was right as rain and as pure as driven snow---in 100% perfect condition. I wish I still owed it !!!
