shoot

Hi, Not sure where I should post this but I will start here. A few of us Parker shooters are going to shoot sporting clays at the Scarborough coarse in Scarborough Maine on Sunday the 18th of this month. It will be as of now, Bill J, Frank C, Pete L, Bob F, and I, we should be there by 11:00 am for any one who want to join us. they are more than welcome. scott

bob weeman 08-14-2013 12:33 PM

Hi Scott, I would like to join in if there is still room. Is the range open to the public that day or do I have to mention I am with you folks in order to get in?

Bob Weeman

Update:

Just found out there is a "Big Game Tuneup" shoot at the SC course in Scarborough. Closed to the public.

Currently looking for another venue and waiting to hear back if we can make it work.

Stay tuned....

bob weeman 08-16-2013 10:13 AM

Any news on a new location? You all are more than welcome to come shoot at the meager range at my house. A long drive though (Denmark, Me.) and only one trap that is not electronic or auto fed the clay pigeons. A very poor substitute but the offer is there if nothing else comes up, folks are desperate to shoot and have plenty of gas money. Working on attaching a thrower to the tractor so I can change locations and do a poor mans sporting clays course. Not there yet though. Have the land with grouse like cover (has grouse in it anyway) just need to set up the tractor......

Frank Cronin 08-16-2013 11:31 AM

Bob,

Looks like we are going here. http://www.greenmountainshooting.com...ing_clays.html

Bill is coordinating to make sure we can get a squad up there. I haven't heard back yet but I'm sure we will by tonight for times, etc. Probably start around 11 - 11:30AM. I have the longest drive to get there. It's about an hour from Denmark for you.

I like the tractor idea though!

bob weeman 08-16-2013 12:32 PM

Looks like a great place....less than an hour from Denmark....I will be there guys head up.....

Dean Romig 08-16-2013 04:13 PM

Dave, Danny, myself and a few others had a great time at that station 9 when we shot there last. I think we must have left some permanent holes in the sky there.... did you boys see our holes?

Didn't see any holes in the sky Dean..... It was overcast that day they were all hidden... I followed your advice and wore my Rayban's even though it was not needed... my excuse for shooting terrible and I'm sticking to it!! ha!

Bill Janelle shot out of his mind with high score. He was putting on a clinic... Too bad Pete couldn't be there to witness it. It must be from all those shooting lessons from Scott Kittredge paying off... Scott never misses ya know....

On another note, this was Bob Weeman's first time shooting sporting clays.... He had a blast and shot very well. The homemade tractor / trap machine paid off.... I bet he will be coming to the Fun Shoot in RI next spring...

There are now permanent holes on station 12.... we had a little fun doing extracurricular activities to finish the day with a nice high flyer...
